Kate Hudson breaks silence after being called a “monster” for Song Sung Blue

Kate Hudson has responded to criticism of her new movie, Song Sung Blue. The film, in which she stars with Hugh Jackman, tells the story of Mike and Claire Sardina, a couple who performed as a tribute to Neil Diamond under the name Lightning & Thunder. Hudson is known for her role in Almost Famous.

Sarah Hudson’s portrayal of Claire earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

The film has received strong criticism from Mike Sardina Jr., who is the son of the person depicted. He claims the movie is entirely false and has labeled both Hudson and Jackman as malicious.

He said Hudson and Jackman didn’t ask for his input on the movie while they were making it.

Mike Jr. worked as a consultant on the film, but unlike his siblings, he isn’t actually in it. He’s stated that he believes he was intentionally left out.

Responding to the questions, Hudson stated to The Hollywood Reporter that he wasn’t the best person to comment, as he wanted to respect the filmmakers involved. He simply said, “Honestly, I don’t even know.”

She also shared that she finally met the real Claire and was thrilled to learn Claire loved the film. She described Claire as a truly wonderful person.

I was really shocked to read what Mike Jr. said in the Daily Mail. He feels like the movie totally ruined his father’s life work and legacy, and he actually said his dad would be ‘rolling in his grave’ if he saw it. It’s just heartbreaking to hear him talk about it like that.

He stated that every time those people appear on national TV, they never acknowledge him, despite him being his father’s only son and the most important person in his life, even when he wasn’t living nearby.

“They didn’t even try to contact me… They didn’t try to get more information.”

He went on to say that he wanted the “true story” out there and that he “wants retribution”.

He stated he wants to be compensated by NBCUniversal and others involved, not just for the harm done to him, but also to his father and sister – the only true heirs of his father – because they were unfairly treated.

Everyone raves about how heartwarming that movie is, but it’s completely fabricated. It unfairly takes credit for all the dedication my father poured into his life’s work, while Claire, Rachel, and Dayna profit immensely from it.
