Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill are back as the Thirteenth Doctor and Yasmin Khan in a new audio drama from Big Finish, giving Doctor Who fans more adventures with the pair. They’ve already recorded three stories for the Thirteenth Doctor Adventures series, and a fourth is being released today.
Okay, so I just finished listening to ‘Ride or Die,’ and it was written by Rochana Patel – she’s done a bunch of great Big Finish stories before. This one takes place between seasons 12 and 13 of Doctor Who, and basically, the Doctor is scrambling to save Yaz. It’s a real race against the clock to prevent something terrible from happening to her!
You can now purchase the 70-minute drama as a digital download for £9.99. A limited edition CD, which also includes a digital download, is available for £13.99.
What to Read Next
The Doctor and Yaz have received a mysterious list of coordinates. Each location on the list corresponds to a time and place where people are vanishing, and they’re determined to find out why.
The Doctor follows a path to a world devastated by war, where forced human soldiers fight against the frightening Banshee creatures. Will she be able to stop the fighting before something happens to her closest companion?

“The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures are truly unique,” Patel explained. “Because this TARDIS team is still well-known from their television stories, we can create stories that feel current and relatable, something that wouldn’t work as well with other Doctor Who audio ranges.”
I really poured my heart and soul into ‘Ride or Die’, wanting to create a gritty, modern sci-fi drama that would really grab people. I threw everything I had at it to make that happen.
Okay, this episode is totally different from what I expected! It’s not all warm and fuzzy or looking back at old times – it’s really fresh and unexpected. And honestly, while I was watching, I got the feeling something much bigger is starting to happen in the overall story. I can’t wait to see where it goes!

The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures series currently features three stories: ‘Vampire Weekend’ by Tim Foley, ‘The Return of The Doctor’ by Rory Thomas-Howes, and ‘Lionesses in Winter’ by Lisa McMullin.
So, there’s going to be a whole series of 12 audio dramas, and it looks like the final one should be out around May 2017. I’m really excited to listen to them all!
Doctor Who will return to TV screens with a Christmas special on BBC One and iPlayer this year.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available, and this edition honors music legend Dolly Parton! You can purchase “Dolly at 80” at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
