War Inc: Rising is a competitive multiplayer tower defense (TD) game developed by Fastone Games. It features cooperative battles, global PvP arenas, unique Heroes with special Skills, and constantly updated challenges. This guide provides essential tips and information to help new players get started and improve their gameplay.
War Inc: Rising Overview
Here’s a quick look at how the game works. You’ll start as a Commander and go through a tutorial to learn the ropes. Then, you’ll build a team and fight enemy forces through different levels, completing objectives like defeating all enemies.
As you play, you’ll unlock new troops, like the Swordsman, allowing you to create stronger teams. Each battle costs 3 energy, and the game is easy to understand. You’ll also earn chests with varying levels of rarity. Opening these chests lets you upgrade and get even more troops, including the Forest Scout, Oracle, and even extra coins!

You can combine your soldiers to become stronger and gain an advantage. As you progress, you’ll unlock the ability to summon more troops. Although the main campaign is straightforward, the cooperative battles are really enjoyable – you’ll work with other players to defend your base against never-ending waves of monsters.
There’s plenty to do with new game modes and challenges, and you can also focus on building and fortifying your base with essential structures, defenses, and traps.
War Inc: Rising Gameplay Basics
Game Modes
The game offers diverse ways to play! Explore PvE adventures in Growth Adventure, team up with a friend for live Tower Defense in Team Co-op, and tackle seasonal challenges like Arena, Hunting, and Infinite War. Guild members can participate in Clan Hunts and Wars, while everyone can enjoy more relaxed modes like Battle Drills and Daily Guess.

In Arena, you compete against players from around the world to win Arena Trophies and improve your ranking on the leaderboard. There are two leaderboards to check – one for your group and one global – and the higher you climb, the more rewards you’ll earn, including Chests and Gems.
Build
The Build section lets you expand your base, much like in Clash of Clans. Upgrading your Command Center unlocks new buildings, allows you to level them up further, and increases your storage space. It also generates Gems. You can also improve your resource-producing buildings – like the Gold Mine, Metal Extractor, Sawmill, and Spell Cauldron – to gain access to new spells and collect Coins, White Iron, and Wood.

To protect your base, you can build defenses like turrets and landmines. Don’t forget to upgrade your Follower Camp to get new followers – including Poopy – and increase the maximum level for your team.
Progress Rewards
Playing Adventure and Co-op modes lets you earn points to unlock rewards, including gems, summons, chests, coins, and other items.
Battle Pass

This game includes a Battle Pass with both free and premium tracks. You can progress by completing quests and earning Battle Tokens, which unlock rewards like profile borders, energy boosts, and special chests up to tier 40.
Summon and Troop Recruitment
The Summon section lets you try your luck at obtaining powerful Mythical and Legendary Troops, such as the Geomancer and Storm Maiden, through Limited and Permanent Summons. You can choose to summon once or five times at a time. I recommend trying the Limited Summon, as it gives you a better chance of getting Mythical troops.

You can also build your army by recruiting troops with different strengths – Common, Rare, and Epic – like the Flame Mage and Oracle. Recruiting these troops earns you clovers, which you can use to unlock Lucky Time and get even more powerful troops. It takes 200 clovers to open Lucky Time.
Shop

The in-game Shop has three main sections: Offers, Value Chests, and Resources. In the Offers section, you’ll find things like Skin Packs, Troop Packs, and various Supply bundles. Value Chests let you earn rewards by watching ads for a free Epic Chest each day, or you can spend Gems to open even better Legendary or Mythical Chests. Finally, you can purchase Resources using real money or Gems.
War Inc: Rising Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks
1. Focus on building and upgrading your troops lineup

When you begin, focus on unlocking fundamental troops like Swordsmen. Then, slowly unlock stronger units through Troop Recruitment and Summoning. If you get duplicate troops, combine and upgrade them to increase their strength. It’s also best to build a well-rounded team rather than depending on just a few powerful ones.
2. Manage energy to grind in different modes
Each Adventure level costs 3 Energy, and 6 Energy for Co-op. To make the most of your Energy, plan your gameplay carefully. Co-op mode gives better rewards, so if you want to progress quickly, focus on playing that more often. This way, you can avoid wasting Energy on less important modes and prioritize the ones that help you advance.
3. Don’t miss out on Arena and other modes
Okay, so Co-op and Adventure mode are awesome, but seriously, don’t skip out on Arena! That’s where you can test your skills against players from all over the world and rack up some sweet rewards – think trophies, chests, and Gems. I’m really trying to climb both the Group and Global leaderboards, and honestly, Hunting and Infinite War are pretty fun too, so definitely check those out!
4. Use Summons and recruitments smartly
If you’re playing without spending money, you’ll need to carefully choose which troops to summon and recruit. To continue upgrading your heroes past level 6, you’ll need Forge Stones, which you can earn simply by summoning troops 20 times.
5. Take advantage of Ads
Be sure to watch ads each day to get a free Epic Chest – it might even turn into a Legendary Chest in the Shop! Don’t forget to also collect your 2000 free Coins every day from the Resources area.
6. Give more time to Build Section
Building is just as crucial as fighting in this game. It’s how you gather essential resources like Gems, Wood, Coins, and White Iron, and also how you unlock powerful Spells, including healing ones. Be sure to research new Spells in the Spell Cauldron so you can use them during battles.
Final Thoughts
Okay, so War Inc: Rising seems simple enough when you first start playing, but it really opens up as you progress. There’s a cool feeling of accomplishment when you unlock new troops – especially those awesome Mythical ones! Leveling them up by merging is super satisfying, honestly.
The game gets harder as you advance through the campaign and when playing co-op with tougher monsters and bosses. To enjoy the game and make good progress, I recommend using this beginner’s guide.
