Code 3: Rainn Wilson’s Dark Comedy Masterpiece Tops US Streaming Charts

The new movie Code 3 is currently the most popular streaming film in the United States. Released in theaters in September 2024, it stars Rain Wilson, famous for playing Dwight Schrute on The Office. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his supporting role in the comedy series three years in a row, from 2007 to 2009.

As a total movie buff, I was checking Hulu today, January 12th, and I noticed something cool – “Code 3” is currently number one on their Top 10 movies list in the US! According to FlixPatrol, it’s actually been holding that spot for the last two days. It’s beating out a lot of other popular titles too, like “Together”, both “RED” movies, comedies like “Bad Moms” and “Superbad”, and even some horror flicks like “The Toxic Avenger” (the 2023 version) and “The Ritual Killer.” It’s great to see a new film doing so well!

The show Code 3 is currently eighth most popular on Hulu. It’s behind shows like Grey’s Anatomy, 9-1-1, High Potential, 20/20, The Rookie, 9-1-1: Nashville, and Best Medicine, but ahead of Will Trent, The Masked Singer, Abbott Elementary, Doc, Hell’s Kitchen, and TMZ Investigates: The Reiner Murders: What Really Happened.

Directed by Christopher Leone (who also co-wrote the screenplay with Patrick Pianezza), Code 3 features Rainn Wilson as a weary paramedic who’s ready to retire. Before he can, he has to work one last 24-hour shift to train his new partner. What begins as a typical day quickly descends into a wild series of emergencies, strange situations, and honest glimpses into the difficult world of emergency responders.

The movie stars Rainn Wilson, and also features Lil Rel Howery (known from Get Out), Aimee Carrero, Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Rob Riggle, Page Kennedy, Cameron Fuller, Ayesha Harris, Dalia Rooni, and Xolo Maridueña (Blue Beetle).
