Aimee-Ffion Edwards, known for her role as Shirley Dander in the popular series Slow Horses, is now starring in a new crime thriller on Paramount+ that’s quickly gaining viewers. While Slow Horses features a rotating cast, Edwards has become a regular, appearing in seasons 2 through 5.
The British spy series Slow Horses has become a popular hit, joining other recent genre successes like Black Doves on Netflix and The Agency on Prime Video. The show has been picked up for seasons six and seven, though we don’t yet know when season six will premiere. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Edwards’ new thriller series to hold them over.
According to data from FlixPatrol, the crime thriller The Revenge Club is currently popular on Paramount+. The six-episode series originally launched on December 12th, but was initially only available in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Despite the limited release, the show—starring an actor known from Slow Horses—quickly became the most-watched series on Paramount+ in those two countries.
As a big fan of crime dramas, I’ve been following The Revenge Club since it dropped. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster – it kept popping in and out of the Top Ten charts on Paramount+ in Ireland and the UK after 2025. But I’m thrilled to see it’s having another moment right now! It’s trending again in both countries, and honestly, this dark comedy deserves all the attention. I’m glad more people are discovering it!
Currently, “The Revenge Club” is the 8th most popular show on Paramount+ in Ireland, while in the UK it’s performing even better, ranking at number 7. As of now, it’s unclear if the show will be available in countries outside of Ireland and the UK.
Aimee-Ffion Edwards, known for her role in Slow Horses, stars as Emily Hunter in the crime thriller series The Revenge Club. The show centers around a group of strangers who band together to get payback on people who have wronged them. They initially meet as a support group for those who are divorced, and their attempts at revenge start as playful jokes but quickly escalate into serious crimes.
The new crime thriller series, The Revenge Club, has earned a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on reviews from six critics. The show is adapted from the novel The Othello Club by J.D. Pennington. Pennington recently shared with The Nerd Daily that he’s already planned a sequel, potentially setting the stage for a second season if the show continues to be popular.
