Reality TV star Courtney Stodden has been married to movie producer Jared Safier for one year.
And this weekend the blonde bombshell offered an update on how she is doing as Mrs Safier.
‘I am really happy,’ she told Daily Mail. ‘Everything is going very well,’ she added.
The actress, known for her marriage to Doug Hutchison (from The Green Mile) when she was 16 and he was 51, revealed that their honeymoon in Palm Springs in December 2024 wasn’t entirely smooth sailing. They had a major argument on their wedding night, which set the tone for a somewhat difficult start to their marriage.
The model almost walked out but they worked it out.
‘Here’s the raw unfiltered truth: I almost ran away. On the night I got married, Jared and I were both emotional, overwhelmed, and far too drunk to be making decisions with clear hearts,’ she said.

She shared on Instagram that a simple misunderstanding quickly escalated into a full-blown argument, made worse by people getting involved and things moving too quickly for either of them to control.
He needed to be alone to sort through his feelings. He recalled spending their wedding night by himself in the hotel suite, surrounded by a silence that reopened old hurts from marrying so young. He felt the same fear, the same sense of being left alone, and the terrifying feeling that the past was repeating itself.
She expressed gratitude that they were able to return to each other with honesty and a desire to rebuild their relationship, because of their deep love for one another. They entered marriage with past hurts, difficult family situations, and unclear expectations. Since then, they’ve been focused on healing and reconnecting, learning how to navigate life as a married couple and building a secure, loving bond.
She explained that they’re dedicated to improving their relationship. They’re working on communicating more effectively, loving each other better, and choosing to support each other even through difficult times. They acknowledge they still have a lot to learn, and understand that love isn’t about perfection, but about honesty.
Courtney concluded by saying, ‘Cheers to making it through the first year. Cheers to sticking it out when giving up would have been simpler… and to the loving relationship we’ve both earned.’
A few years ago, I met an incredibly smart, strong, and beautiful woman, and we got married a year ago. It’s been challenging for both of us, dealing with past relationships, emotional baggage, and a lot of public attention. We’ve done everything you’d expect when entering a high-profile relationship – movies, TV appearances, interviews, photoshoots, and countless media events.

We faced a lot of negativity and people who wanted to see us fail – there were even online groups dedicated to it! But despite all the challenges, we’ve reached our one-year anniversary. Courtney, I love you more than words can say. I remember when we first met at Starbucks and you told me not to fall in love with you – it was a playful challenge that immediately captivated me. I couldn’t stop thinking about you, and I quickly fell head over heels. The best things in life aren’t easy to achieve, and I’m so grateful for the family we’ve built, including our sweet Cartier, Harry Winston, and Onyx. I’m excited to see what the future holds for us! I love you, and Happy Anniversary!
