Selena Gomez and husband Benny Blanco enjoyed a date night at the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday.

As a lifestyle observer, I always love seeing couples shine, and last night was no exception! The singer and actress, just 33, and her husband, a music producer at 37, were absolutely glowing on the red carpet. They were clearly smitten with each other, and it was so sweet to see them so close and affectionate – a real testament to their love after celebrating their first year of marriage!

Gomez looked like a classic Hollywood star in a black velvet Chanel dress. The strapless gown featured a dramatic neckline adorned with fluffy white feathers.

To match the look, she wore her brunette hair in a side part and tightly coiffed ‘Dolce Vita’ bob.

As a style expert, I have to say, she absolutely rocked a bold lip! She’s from Texas, and her matte, deep rouge lipstick was the perfect touch – a really classic, confident look. It was a beautiful, statement-making shade that really completed her overall vibe.

Blanco matched his timeless style with a black, double-breasted suit featuring satin lapels.

He wore a jacket over a black shirt and completed the look with a brooch, a diamond watch, and a bold chain necklace.

His ensemble was rounded out with a pair of sleek black loafers with embellished stones.

During an interview with Zane Lowe in November, Gomez said the first few weeks of her marriage felt like a dream.

The happy couple tied the knot on September 27 in Santa Barbara.

And weeks before walking down the aisle the pop star couldn’t contain her excitement.

She lit up with a huge smile when Jimmy Fallon brought up her wedding during her appearance on The Tonight Show.

When asked about wedding plans, she happily shared that everything is going wonderfully and she feels very fortunate. She’s really excited about it all.

The lovebirds confirmed their relationship in December 2023 and got engaged a year later.

I was so thrilled when Selena announced her engagement! She posted the most beautiful picture of her sparkling ring with the caption, ‘Forever starts now,’ and it just felt like a perfect moment for her. It was clear she’d found someone special.

In March 2025, 41-year-old Joel McHale said hosting the Golden Globes was the most enjoyable experience of his entire career.

She playfully said she was eager to repeat the experience, hoping the team from ‘The White Lotus’ would notice her skills and cast her in the next season – she imagined playing a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a mysterious background.

The comedian recently watched footage of her performance from last year – something she hadn’t done until just a few days before her upcoming show.

‘I avoided watching it again, because I lived it,’ she explained to The Hollywood Reporter. 

She explained that she recently rewatched it – just two days ago, in fact – to refresh her memory of what worked and what didn’t.

The veteran performer expressed satisfaction with how things went, saying she felt she’d really succeeded. ‘I’m proud of what I accomplished,’ she admitted, ‘but it also makes me a little nervous, because it felt like a truly special, once-in-a-lifetime moment.’

One Battle After Another is leading the nominations with nine nods. 

The film is nominated for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy, where it will go up against Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, and Nouvelle Vague.
