Jennifer Garner sparkles in black crystal gown as she makes first Golden Globes appearance in 13 years

Jennifer Garner looked like a classic Hollywood star at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, bringing old-fashioned glamour to the red carpet.

The actress, 53, looked stunning as she returned to the famous awards show after a decade-long absence.

Jenna Ortega dazzled on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, wearing a stunning sleeveless black dress by Cong Tri, adorned with sparkling crystals.

According to InStyle, the dress took an incredible 1,300 hours of hand embroidery and is adorned with 330,000 crystal beads.

The outfit included a layered skirt with short tassels and a fitted, sleeveless top that showed off Jennifer Garner’s physique.

Garner completed her striking outfit with elegant, floral-designed Roger Vivier heels, maintaining the black-and-white color scheme of her gown.

She finished her outfit with her brown hair styled in a middle part and loose, flowing waves that fell around her shoulders.

Jennifer Garner accessorized her sleeveless dress with dazzling diamond rings. She wore a substantial diamond ring on her right hand and a statement feather-shaped diamond ring on her left middle finger.

Her elegantly made-up face was additionally framed by her long, dangling earrings.

Jennifer Garner attended the Golden Globes following the public and difficult breakup and divorce of her former husband, Ben Affleck, from Jennifer Lopez.

Nikki Glaser is returning as host for the second year, and she’s expected to bring her famously bold and unfiltered humor to the event, likely keeping the celebrity guests on their toes.

Joel McHale, 41, said hosting the Golden Globes was the most enjoyable experience of his career. In a statement released in March, he expressed his eagerness to host again, jokingly hoping the cast of ‘The White Lotus’ would be in the audience and finally give him a role – specifically, a mysterious Scandinavian Pilates instructor on season 4.

One Battle After Another is the frontrunner for nominations, receiving an impressive nine in total.

The Leonardo DiCaprio film received several major nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. DiCaprio himself is nominated for Best Actor, while Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn are up for Best Supporting Actor.

The film will be up against Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, and Nouvelle Vague for the Best Musical or Comedy award, though many were surprised that Wicked: For Good didn’t receive a nomination.

The Best Picture – Drama category features a competitive lineup including Frankenstein, Hamnet, It Was Just An Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Values, and Sinners.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always watching what’s trending, and the TV world is buzzing about Adolescence on Netflix! It’s already an Emmy winner, and the nominations just keep rolling in. I was thrilled to see recognition for the whole cast – Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and young Owen Cooper, who’s only 16! Plus, a lovely surprise nod went to Ashley Walters – what a talented group!

The show received a nomination for Best Limited TV Series, Anthology Series, or TV Movie, joining titles like All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Black Mirror, Dying for Sex, and The Girlfriend. This brings its total number of nominations to five.

Okay, seriously, The White Lotus deserved all the love it got at the awards! It just barely edged out ‘Adolescence,’ but honestly, it was the cast! So many amazing actors and actresses, they swept the acting categories and that’s what really pushed The White Lotus over the top. I was SO thrilled!

Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty have both been nominated for acting awards. Sixteen-year-old Owen Cooper received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a TV series, limited series, or TV movie.

He’ll be competing for the award against his co-star Ashley Walters, along with Billy Crudup (from The Morning Show), Walton Goggins and Jason Isaac (both from The White Lotus), and Tramell Tillman (from Severance).

Erin is competing with Aimee Lou Wood, another British actress, for the Best Supporting Actress award at a television awards show. Both are nominated for their work on The White Lotus.

Rounding out the nominees are Carrie Coon for The White Lotus, Hannah Einbinder for Hacks, Catherine O’Hara for The Studio, and Parker Posey, also for The White Lotus.

Paul Mescal, the Irish actor, has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. He’s up against Benicio Del Toro, Jacob Elordi, Sean Penn, Adam Sandler, and Stellan Skarsgard, as well as himself for his role in another film. The movies they are nominated for include ‘One Battle After Another’, ‘Frankenstein’, ‘Hamnet’, and ‘Sentimental Value’.

The Best Screenplay category featured Paul Thomas Anderson for One Battle After Another, Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie for Marty Supreme, Ryan Coogler for Sinners, Jafar Panahi for It Was Just an Accident, and Maggie O’Farrell for Hamnet.

Joachim Trier’s Norwegian film, Sentimental Value, received eight nominations, closely following One Battle After Another in the film categories.

Ryan Coogler’s film, Sinners, received seven nominations, while Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet and Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good each earned five nominations.

Everyone was surprised when the sequel to Wicked wasn’t nominated for Best Musical or Comedy. However, both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande did receive nominations for their acting performances.

Several expected nominations were missing, including one for Sydney Sweeney for her role in Christy as Best Actress in a drama. Jennifer Lawrence (Die My Love), Tessa Thompson (Hedda), and Julia Roberts (After The Hunt) were all nominated, along with Eva Victor, who received a surprise nod for her work in the independent film Sorry, Baby.

Irish actress Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), who is seen as the front-runner, completes the category.

Neither Kathryn Bigelow’s nuclear thriller, A House of Dynamite, nor Bradley Cooper’s Is This Thing On? received any nominations.

Timothée Chalamet is aiming to finally win a Golden Globe after being nominated four times. He was a strong contender last year for his role in A Complete Unknown but didn’t win. He recently won a Critics Choice Award for Best Actor.

He’s nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture this year for his role in Marty Supreme.

Dame Helen Mirren will receive a special Cecil B. DeMille Golden Globe award recognizing her incredible career. She’s already been announced as this year’s recipient.

Dame Helen will receive a major award, joining past winners like Meryl Streep, Alfred Hitchcock, and Viola Davis. The ceremony will be held on January 8th, just three days before the Golden Globes awards show.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always struck by true icons, and Helen Mirren is absolutely one of them. The Golden Globes president, Helen Hoehne, put it perfectly – her career isn’t just impressive, it’s truly extraordinary. She’s a powerhouse!

She consistently delivers breathtaking performances and is deeply dedicated to her work, inspiring artists and captivating audiences across generations. We are incredibly proud to award her the Cecil B. DeMille award.
