There was a whole new Glen Powell at the 2026 Golden Globes.

The popular action movie star, up for the Chad Powers award, showed off a fresh haircut and new glasses while wearing a stylish blue velvet tuxedo with a bow tie on the red carpet.

Powell surprised fans with a noticeably longer hairstyle than he usually sports, appearing several inches longer than his typical cut.

Thirty-seven-year-old Powell, wearing glasses, walked the red carpet sporting a new, longer hairstyle with a side part.

But the look drew mixed reviews online, with one declaring: ‘Hair stylist did him dirty.’

‘he can go home and come back later to try again bc this was not it,’ another posted. 

Someone tweeted, ‘I’m so sorry I’m late, but I was watching the red carpet on Internet Explorer! Also, I didn’t think Glen Powell’s hair looked good.’

A fan shared a photo of Powell on the red carpet that jokingly compared his appearance to a well-known, blurry image thought to be of Big Foot.

My friend jokingly sent me a picture of Glen Powell, calling him her ‘personal Bigfoot,’ in a playful reference to spotting something rare and exciting.

Someone mentioned the haircut was for the upcoming second season of Chad Powers, explaining that he’s currently filming it.

Glen Powell has been nominated for a Golden Globe award for his acting in the Hulu series ‘Chad Powers’. The nomination is for Best Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

He’s been getting attention not only for his on-screen performances, but also for things he’s been doing behind the scenes.

The actor has been reportedly dating Landman actress Michelle Randolph for the last few months.

Us Weekly reported last month that the pair began dating in October and are enjoying each other’s company. However, he’s currently keeping the relationship private and doesn’t plan on making any public appearances together, like on a red carpet, in the near future.

Nikki Glaser is returning as host for the second year, and she’s expected to bring her famously bold and unfiltered comedy to the event, likely keeping the celebrity guests on their toes.

In a statement released in March, 41-year-old Joel McHale said hosting the Golden Globes was the most enjoyable experience of his career. He jokingly expressed hope to return as host and finally land a role on ‘The White Lotus,’ imagining himself as a mysterious Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a hidden past.

The show received a nomination for Best Limited TV Series, Anthology Series, or TV Movie, joining titles like All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Black Mirror, Dying for Sex, and The Girlfriend. This brings the show’s total nominations to five.
