Alicia Silverstone brought the Hollywood glamour to the 2026 Golden Globes.

Alicia Silverstone, famous for her role in the 1990s hit movie Clueless, recently appeared in the dark comedy Bugonia, which has received three Golden Globe nominations tonight, including one for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Although she wasn’t nominated for any personal awards, Alicia Silverstone turned heads at the event with her striking red dress.

On Sunday, the 83rd Golden Globe Awards celebrated the biggest names in movies and TV at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Nikki Glaser is returning for her second year as host, and she’s expected to bring her famously unfiltered and hilarious comedy to the event, likely keeping the celebrity guests on their toes.

One Battle After Another is the frontrunner for nominations, receiving an impressive nine in total.

The Leonardo DiCaprio film received several major nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. DiCaprio himself is nominated for Best Actor, while Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn are up for Best Supporting Actor.

The film will be up against Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, and Nouvelle Vague for the Best Musical or Comedy Picture award, and many were surprised that Wicked: For Good didn’t receive a nomination.

The Best Picture – Drama category features a competitive lineup including the films Frankenstein, Hamnet, It Was Just An Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Values, and Sinners.

The popular Netflix series Adolescence continued its award-winning streak, earning nominations for its entire main cast. Stars Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and Owen Cooper (age 16) were all recognized, and Ashley Walters received a nomination as a welcome surprise.

The show received a nomination for Best Limited TV Series, Anthology Series, or TV Movie, joining titles like All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Black Mirror, Dying for Sex, and The Girlfriend. This brings its overall nomination count to five.

Despite close competition from ‘Adolescence’, ‘The White Lotus’ received slightly more nominations – six in total. This was largely due to the strong performances of its talented cast, with many nominations coming from the acting categories.

As a huge fan, I always look forward to this incredible awards show! It’s the biggest night of the year where they celebrate the very best in movies and television. And this year, I’m especially excited because they’re finally including podcasts too, recognizing amazing work across 28 different categories!

This year, each of the award categories has six nominees, except for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which has eight.

The competition for Best Male Actor in a Television Drama is expected to be fierce, with nominations going to Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Diego Luna (Andor), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Mark Ruffalo (Task), Adam Scott (Severance), and Noah Wyle (The Pitt).

Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty have both been nominated for acting awards. Sixteen-year-old Owen Cooper received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a TV series, limited series, or TV movie.

He’ll be competing for the award against several of his fellow actors, including Ashley Walters, Billy Crudup (from The Morning Show), Walton Goggins and Jason Isaac (both from The White Lotus), and Tramell Tillman (Severance).

Erin is nominated for an award alongside Aimee Lou Wood, another British actress. They are both competing in the category of Best Supporting Actress for their roles in The White Lotus, which is a limited series or TV movie.

Rounding out the nominees are Carrie Coon for The White Lotus, Hannah Einbinder for Hacks, Catherine O’Hara for The Studio, and Parker Posey, also for The White Lotus.
