Coronation Street actress Katy Cavanagh proudly poses with her sons Noah, 20, and Jacobi Jupe, 12, at 2026 BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills – as they’re set for Hollywood stardom

Katy Cavanagh smiled for photos with her sons, Noah and Jacobi Jupe, at the BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

The glamorous party at the Four Seasons Hotel honors the best films of the year before the BAFTA Awards. The BAFTA Awards are often a good predictor of which films will win at the Oscars.

Alan Cumming, a well-known actor and performer, will host a ceremony on February 22nd at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

The former Coronation Street actress, now managing her sons’ careers, is accompanying them throughout awards season as they gain recognition in Hollywood.

Most soap opera viewers remember her as the cheerful Julie Carp, a character she played for seven years and briefly revisited last year. Now, she’s found a new career as a ‘momager’ – a unique blend of motherly support and professional management – and she’s doing very well at it.

Her sons, Noah, age 20, and 12-year-old Jacobi Jupe, were able to get prime seats because they starred in the critically acclaimed film Hamnet with Jessie Buckley.

In this emotional film, Jacobi portrays Shakespeare’s son, Hamnet, who tragically died at the age of eleven. Noah plays an actor within the story, performing the role of Hamlet in a play believed to be written in response to that earlier loss.

Katy, age 52, went to the Critics’ Choice celebration with Jacobi, and both are anticipated to attend the Golden Globes. Their film, Jessie, and Paul Mescal, who also stars in it, have both been nominated for awards.

The brothers are finding success thanks to the dedication of their mother, a former actress. A source revealed she’s completely devoted herself to giving them a strong beginning in their careers.

‘She’s put her own career on the back burner to help them realise their dreams.

She isn’t a Hollywood insider, so her name recognition hasn’t created opportunities for her clients, but she’s successfully gotten them established in the industry and continues to support their careers.

As someone who keeps a close eye on rising talent, I’ve been really impressed with Noah Jupe. He’s already built an amazing resume with 26 film and TV roles – including some seriously chilling work in the Quiet Place movies, and projects alongside legends like Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, and Hugh Grant! But you might be surprised to learn it was actually his younger brother who initially landed the part in Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet. It just goes to show you never know which family member will be the next big star!

He’s incredibly grateful for the support his parents and producer Chris Jupe gave him throughout his career. He believes that without them, he might have made different career choices and wouldn’t be as mentally strong as he is today.

When they started filming without having found their Hamlet, Katy suggested Noah.

Noah shared with Time magazine that he received an excited call from his mother and Chloe about two months into filming.

People asked me if I’d consider playing Hamlet, and it was an opportunity I simply couldn’t refuse.

Jacobi concurs: ‘Honestly, I don’t know how I would be here if it weren’t for them,’ he has said.

This week, the BAFTA Film Awards announced its longlist of nominees, and Paul Thomas Anderson’s film, One Battle After Another, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, is a frontrunner, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
