eFootball 2026 is keeping things fresh with new card packs and exciting players. The latest pack, Epic European Clubs Midfielders, highlights some legendary talents. It features Hidetoshi Nakata and Edgar Davids, and also introduces Philip Cocu to the game for the first time.
Now the main question is whether these three cards are powerful enough to change the game and live up to the hype. Here’s my assessment, final opinion, and ranking of all three.
eFootball 2026 Epic European Clubs Midfielders players
Hidetoshi Nakata
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing and Phenomenal Pass
Okay, so they’ve released another Nakata card, and I’m loving it! It feels like just a few months ago we got that Epic Worldwide Special Selection one, and now this one focuses on him as a Creative Playmaker. Honestly, it really highlights what makes Nakata so good – amazing ball control, skillful dribbling, he keeps possession really well, and his passes are spot on. It’s everything you’d expect!
Phenomenal Pass significantly improves his playmaking ability, particularly his through balls. He also surprisingly has good finishing, which could be useful, but even with a good build, his finishing stats typically don’t exceed 90, and pushing them higher would make the card unbalanced.
However, the main problem is when this card was released. Since Kaká is currently available in the game and is a better Creative Playmaker, it’s harder to justify using this Nakata card instead.
Honestly, this card isn’t bad at all. Nakata’s always been a reliable player in the game, and if you didn’t get him when he was first released, I’d say grabbing him now is a pretty good move.
Here’s a look at some featured players for Epic Monday:
Philip Cocu: A solid, dependable player known for his defensive strength and ability to control the midfield. He gets a +3 bonus to his balancing stat.
Hidetoshi Nakata: A creative playmaker with exceptional finishing and passing skills. He receives a +3 bonus to his shooting stat.
Edgar Davids: A powerful and aggressive midfielder known for his tackles and long-range shots. He gets a +3 bonus to his counterattack stat. #eFootball

Edgar Davids
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Showtime Skill: Low Screamer and Long Reach Tackle
Davids joins the team as a powerful midfielder, and his skills certainly match that description. He’s strong defensively, very aggressive, and has great stamina, making him perfect for pressing opponents and winning back possession. Players have always sought after his cards for these same qualities.
This player benefits from having excellent reach and naturally long legs, which are both significant advantages. He also has a long-range attack, but I don’t think it’s a particularly important skill for him.
He’s fast, reaching speeds over 90, and a capable passer. Players often noted his weakness in aerial plays, which is understandable – pairing him with a tall, defensive-minded teammate would solve that issue. Improving his passing and adding the ability to clear the ball acrobatically would make him even better.
Philip Cocu
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Anchor Man
- Showtime Skill: Fortress
This marks the first appearance of Barcelona midfielder Philip Cocu. He joins the team as a defensive midfielder, acting as a strong, central player. While his stats show a well-rounded defensive skillset – good awareness, physical strength, and endurance – he doesn’t quite seem like a top-tier, long-term solution, but he’s a dependable player overall.
He has a great build and good leg length, which should make him a reliable tackler and interceptor without having to take big risks. His passing is solid, and can be further developed if you want him to be more involved in building attacks from the back.
The biggest question is how well this character will perform in actual gameplay. Although his stats indicate he’s a solid defensive player, having a more powerful defensive ability, like Long Reach Tackle or Aerial Fort, would have made him even better.
Best pick from the Epic European Clubs Midfielders pack in eFootball 2026
This set of players features a strong midfield with two defensive midfielders and one creative player. However, I wouldn’t recommend spending your in-game currency on it. While all three are good options, none of them are truly exceptional, and it’s better to save your resources for a more powerful player.
Here’s my final cards tier list and pack rating.
| Tier | Players |
|---|---|
| SSS (Endgame) | None |
| SS (Excellent) | Edgar Davids, Hidetoshi Nakata |
| S (Strong) | Philip Cocu |
| A (Good) | None |
| B (Average) | None |
| C (Below Average) | None |
Pack Rating: 2.5 out of 5
