Four years after his death, Bob Saget is still fondly remembered by his former co-stars from Full House. The beloved comedian and actor passed away unexpectedly in January 2022 at age 65. He was found in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Florida, and an autopsy later determined he died from a head injury, likely caused by a fall. He passed away in his sleep following the incident.
From 1987 to 1995, Bob Saget played Danny Tanner on the ABC sitcom Full House. The show centered around a recently widowed father raising his three daughters with the help of his brother-in-law and best friend in San Francisco. In 2016, Netflix released a follow-up series called Fuller House, which continued for five seasons.
Yesterday, on the four-year anniversary of the event, John Stamos, a fellow actor, shared a touching message on Instagram.
The absence of Bob feels like the stillness after joy has faded. You can still almost hear the echoes of his presence, but the vibrant sound is gone, and with it, a piece of everything feels empty. It’s not a sudden, piercing grief, but a gentle, persistent ache – a quiet weight you carry with you, especially when things are calm.
Missing someone feels like a love that has no outlet, so it just stays with you, a constant presence. It’s a waiting game, hoping for the day they return and things feel joyful again. Four years have passed, and it’s hard to believe. I really miss you, Bob.
Bob Saget Gave David Coulier “Such Great Memories” For Rest of His Life

ABC
David Coulier, best known as Joey Gladstone from Full House, shared a memory of receiving the heartbreaking news of a friend’s passing from John Stamos. In an Instagram post, Coulier described feeling overwhelmed with grief, simply breaking down in tears. He realized he’d never again receive the long, hilarious voicemails from his friend, Bob, that always brightened his day.
As a critic, I’ve seen countless stories, but none resonate quite like the one in my own heart. Losing my brother, Bob, four years ago feels like losing a piece of myself. We were inseparable – a trio of goofballs, always cracking each other up. I still instinctively reach for my phone, wanting to share a funny story or just tell him I love him. Our bond was built on silliness, immaturity, and a whole lot of love. He was truly one of a kind, and I’ll never have another relationship like ours. ‘Missing him’ doesn’t even begin to cover it. He’d want me to shout it from the rooftops how much I loved him, so here I am: I love you, Bob. And the memories we made will stay with me forever.
Candace Cameron Bure, known for playing D.J. Tanner, remembered Bob Saget with a heartfelt message, writing, “I miss you. Not just today, but every day,” along with a white heart. Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy Gibler, shared her sadness, saying it felt surreal to live in a world where she could only remember Bob’s voice. She added that she never expected him to be so quiet, even in passing, and hoped he knew how much he was loved and talked about. Barber concluded by saying that grief is a natural part of deep love, and she carries her sadness with gratitude for those she’s lost.
