Oti Mabuse says Strictly will ‘survive’ without hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman after they quit

Oti Mabuse believes Strictly Come Dancing will continue to be successful even with new hosts, following the departure of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

The 35-year-old professional dancer, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing from 2013 to 2019 and won the competition twice, spoke highly of the show’s hosts and their contributions.

In an interview with The Times, she expressed her deep affection for Strictly Come Dancing, saying the show was pivotal to her career. She believes Strictly’s success depends on continued public support and is confident it will continue for many years as long as viewers enjoy it.

‘Claudia and Tess are… I get emotional when I talk about it, because they are just so brilliant.

People don’t realize how much work Tess does behind the scenes. Since the show is live, she’s responsible for keeping it on schedule.

Oti is the new head judge on Dancing With The Stars Ireland, which is the Irish adaptation of the popular show Strictly Come Dancing.

Now that she’s in a new position, she understands how challenging Tess and Claudia’s jobs are. She’s experiencing firsthand the pressure of having producers constantly telling her to be quick and concise with her remarks.

The dancer is confident the Strictly Come Dancing producers will choose excellent new hosts, as they have a deeper understanding of the show than anyone else.

This news follows a Daily Mail report that BBC executives are considering a list of ten potential replacements for the current hosts of Strictly Come Dancing.

Bradley Walsh, Alex Jones, and Alan Carr are among the leading candidates to host the show. Sources say producers will have potential pairings test their on-screen chemistry with each other to find the best duo.

According to a source speaking to The Sun, finding replacements for Claudia and Tess is a huge challenge, but the BBC has narrowed down the potential candidates to a shortlist of ten.

Rylan Clark, Rob Rinder, Zoe Ball, and Holly Willoughby will join Bradley, Alex, and Alan at the chemistry day.

‘Amanda Holden, Alison Hammond, and Angela Scanlon have made the cut too.’

According to a source, the celebrities will be brought together in a studio and paired up in various combinations to determine which pairings have the best chemistry on camera.

The show is open to all kinds of pairings: two women, two men, or one of each. Show officials want to try new and different combinations this season.

Daily Mail has contacted BBC for comment.
