Lisa Faulkner has cautioned her daughter about the challenges of pursuing an acting career, as her daughter hopes to become an actress like her.
The 53-year-old actress and presenter adopted her daughter, Billie, when Billie was just 17 months old. She adopted Billie with her former husband, Chris Coghill. Billie is now 20 years old.
Lisa has appeared in several popular television shows, including Holby City and Brookside, and recently starred in the Netflix series Missing You, based on Harlan Coben’s work.
Lisa’s daughter, Billie, is now considering a career in entertainment, but Lisa has advised her not to pursue acting.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Lisa said: ‘I’m like: ‘No, keep away from the acting.’
It has potential, but it’s been inconsistent so far. Ultimately, if she’s interested, she should go for it.

Lisa recently shared how much she loves her husband, John Torode, calling him her closest friend as he enthusiastically supports her comeback to the stage.
Holby City actor, 53, will star as Allie, a single mother, in a stage adaptation of the popular 1990s thriller, Single White Female. The play is based on the movie and novel of the same name by John Lutz.
She’ll be appearing with Kym Marsh, 49, known from Coronation Street, who will play the role of a roommate named Hedy who becomes obsessed.
Lisa described her positive relationship with the 60-year-old chef, explaining that he’s been helping her practice her lines.
You know, as a lifestyle expert, I’ve always said the key to a great relationship is partnership, and that’s exactly what I have with my husband. He’s not just my spouse, he’s truly my best friend. We’re a team – we support each other through thick and thin, and always offer a helping hand. Honestly, he’s just a wonderfully kind and considerate man.
‘He’s been running through the lines with me. He’s so happy for me.’
The chef, known for sparking debate, also shared heartfelt words about his wife, Lisa, telling the Mirror she is his constant support, closest companion, and the love of his life – essentially, his everything. He didn’t feel the need to say anything more.
Also supporting Lisa’s new career move are her best friends Angela Griffin and Amanda Holden.

Lisa explained that her friends created a separate WhatsApp group so they could coordinate their visit without letting her know when to expect them.
The actress explained that seeing her friends in the audience would distract her, so she prefers to look for them after the show is over.
Single White Female follows a recently divorced mother who takes in a lodger to help ends meet.
As they become friends, Hedy starts to become dangerously fixated on her roommate, and their living situation quickly becomes unstable.
Despite previously saying they would support the former MasterChef host, ITV is apparently canceling Lisa and John’s cooking show, Weekend Kitchen.
The BBC let the chef go earlier this year after claims surfaced that he used very offensive and racist language in 2018. He says he doesn’t remember making those statements.
He left the show shortly after Gregg Wallace, 61, was also let go, following claims of inappropriate behavior on set.
Although ITV initially supported John, it’s believed their show – which first aired the same year he got married – probably won’t continue.
John has been married to Lisa since 2019 after meeting on Celebrity MasterChef,
