Danny Dyer seems to have changed his mind and may be joining the cast of Celebrity Traitors, despite previously saying he wasn’t interested.
The creators of the popular BBC show are reportedly very keen to cast the EastEnders actor, but he’s known for previously declining similar opportunities.
Danny, age 47, has turned down several offers to appear on reality TV shows, including both ‘I’m A Celebrity’ on ITV and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on BBC.
Now, his daughter Dani, 29, has given fans a huge hint he may be joining.
She told The Sun that while discussing whether to appear on the show, she accidentally revealed information about her father.
‘I wouldn’t be good at Traitors. My dad would be good at it.’

Dani said she’d rather watch the show than participate. She admitted she wouldn’t make a good contestant or backstabber, and shared her fondness for Kate Garraway.
I can’t believe anyone accused her of being a traitor! I’m completely hooked on The Traitors – it’s my first time watching, and I wish I’d started sooner. It’s a brilliant show.
Okay, so I heard on the ‘Live And Let Dyer’ podcast – honestly, anything with Danny and Dani is gold – that someone actually asked him to be on that other show! Can you believe it? But he turned it down! He said he’d literally never watched it, so why would he do it? Honestly, that’s so Danny, isn’t it? He’s just… authentic. I love it!
Initially, I wasn’t interested because I hadn’t seen it before, but now I am. They had mentioned it to me, but since I was unfamiliar with it, I immediately said no. Now that I’ve seen it, though, I’m on board.
If you’re going to take on a project, especially as someone well-known, it should be something you’re truly passionate about – a labor of love.
He explained that while he initially thought the game was overly complex, he realized it was actually pretty straightforward: it’s all about people influencing each other and a lot of deception.
It’s tough when someone tries too hard to appear devout – it often has the opposite effect. But overall, it’s a good group and I’m having a good time.
I’d consider appearing on the next season if the pay is good. I’d actually prefer to be a Traitor – it’s much more enjoyable to play that role with all the deception and strategy involved. As a Traitor, you have a clear objective and get to really play the game!

Producers of Claudia Winkleman’s popular show are hoping to convince Danny to join the cast.
According to a source speaking to The Sun last year, Danny Dyer is highly sought after by reality TV show bookers, but he’s consistently declined all offers to appear on those shows.
Danny has a natural charisma that makes great television seem easy, and the producers of The Traitors have been actively trying to get him on the show because of it.
‘They’re doing everything they can to get the deal over the line.’
Fans are eagerly awaiting the show’s return after the BBC announced a second season is on the way.
