SNK Corporation has been regularly releasing short, animated videos related to their game, FATAL FURY CotW. These videos have previously shown story segments and introduced characters. The latest video, released on January 8th, strongly suggests an exciting collaboration coming in Season 2.

Fans in the fighting game community immediately started speculating. They believed a recent preview hinted that Kenshiro, the main character from Fist of the North Star, would be added to the game FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves.

Season 2 is coming to FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves

Since its launch, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves has added five downloadable characters as part of Season 1. These include returning favorites from the original FATAL FURY series – Andy, Joe, and Mr. Big – as well as iconic characters from Street Fighter, Ken and Chun-Li.

The official social post has confirmed that Season 2 in FATAL FURY CotW starts in January 2026.

Since we don’t know anything about the first character coming in the new season, Kenshiro seems like a strong possibility to kick off FATAL FURY Season 2. SNK usually releases updates quickly, just like they did with Chun-Li, who became available shortly after her reveal at the SNK World Championship 2025.

Most fans agree that Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star would be an amazing character to add to FATAL FURY CotW. He’s famous for his deadly touch, and it would be fascinating to see how that ability is incorporated into a fighting game’s moveset.
