The mobile version of eFootball 2026 is getting ready to celebrate its 9th anniversary, which is a milestone from its beginnings as PES 2017. The celebration is set to start this Thursday, May 14th, 2026, and players are already buzzing with anticipation about potential rewards like free Epic cards, Show Time cards, and special events.

Show Time Selection Contract

Okay, so Konami just announced that the 9th Anniversary event is coming with the next update – v5.4.1! They’ve already teased one of the big rewards: a Selection Contract specifically for Show Time players. Sounds awesome, I’m definitely checking that out when it drops!

The Show Time Player Voting event began shortly after its announcement during the eFootball Connect program. Participants were asked to vote for their favorite players from the national teams of Germany, England, the Netherlands, and Turkey.

Players like Joshua Kimmich, Marc Guéhi, Jurriën Timber, Nathan Aké, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, and Ezri Konsa are all strong contenders, and we anticipate the first four selections will participate in the game.

Based on fan-made ideas, the upcoming 9th Anniversary event might be structured like last year’s. Leaked images point to potential rewards inspired by Epic Worldwide, with players like Lamine Yamal, Fabio Cannavaro, Denis Law, Luis Figo, Carles Puyol, Hugo Lloris, and Denis Irwin possibly featured.

Currently, none of the cards or rewards being discussed are officially confirmed. Many of the images you’re seeing online are fan-made concepts, often based on older cards. It’s also unclear if free rewards for Epic Games players will be given out this year like they have in the past.

8th Anniversary Campaign patterns

Expectations are high this year because the 8th Anniversary event in eFootball 2025 was a huge success on mobile. It included the special “Epic: Worldwide Special Selection Contract” which let players choose a favorite player, as well as opportunities to get more players through Chance Deals.

Given the success of the previous large-scale campaign, players are hoping the 9th Anniversary event will be similar. However, KONAMI hasn’t confirmed it will offer the same generous rewards, particularly after the underwhelming 30th Anniversary campaign and the recent 1 Billion Downloads campaign.
