Making gold in Heartopia is thankfully not about repetitive tasks. The game encourages smart planning and effective time management, and you can earn a lot of gold each time you play by combining different activities.

How to get more Gold in Heartopia
1. Turn Cooking into a recipe for Gold
Cooking is a great way to earn extra Gold, so it’s smart to choose it as your third hobby – you’ll need it relatively early in the game. Once you unlock Cooking, use all the fruit you find to make jam. Apples, berries, and pretty much any other fruit will work!

Jam is a really profitable item to sell for gold. It’s tempting to eat it to regain stamina, but you’ll earn much more gold by selling it instead. If you’re low on stamina, a quick nap is a better option.
2. Make sure to level up Hobbies like Gardening and Fishing
Before you start earning a lot of gold, it’s helpful to develop a good hobby. Gardening and Fishing are both excellent ways to make gold, so focus on getting both of them to Level 2. This shouldn’t take too long if you complete the starting quests and regularly practice both skills.

Improving your Gardening to Level 2 boosts the value of your crops, giving you more gold per harvest. Level 2 Fishing lets you catch better fish more reliably. Combining these improvements will significantly increase your overall gold earnings as you progress.
Take your time right now. Focus on finishing simple quests, planting your first crops, and fishing often – this will gradually build up your experience. When both fishing and farming reach Level 2, you’ll be able to sell what you’ve made for much more money.
3. Buy better seeds to plant in your Garden
Once you’ve started gardening, the key to success is choosing seeds carefully. Don’t buy a lot of cheap seeds – instead, invest in the best quality seeds you can afford from Blanc. While it might seem like a gamble, these high-value crops will earn you much more gold when you sell them.

Plant your seeds and water them every time you get home. Not watering them will slow their growth and reduce the amount of gold you earn. Focus on growing healthy, high-quality plants rather than a large number of poor ones.
4. Sell what you are not using
If you’ve been busy farming, foraging, cooking, and fishing, you’ll likely end up with more supplies than you need. Luckily, the solution is easy: sell everything you don’t need – all your jam, fish, and any extra items taking up space in your inventory.
Final Thoughts
Earning gold in Heartopia doesn’t need to be a tedious task. If you start developing skills like Gardening and Fishing early on, and focus on things like growing valuable crops and cooking, you can create a steady income without feeling overwhelmed. This makes the beginning of the game much smoother, quicker, and more fun.
