The excitement for eFootball 2026 is already building this New Year, with the return of Treasure Link after a four-month wait. Some players are discussing that the rewards are a bit smaller this time around, but there are still free items to claim and enjoy.
I just checked out the new eFootball 2026 Treasure Link Epic pack, and wow, it’s got some incredible players! A lot of us are going to be hitting those Chance Deals in the Special Treasure Link, so I wanted to share my thoughts and give you a quick rundown of who’s worth checking out.
eFootball 2026 Treasure Link January 2026 Players Overview
We have five unique players, each represented by a different card. A key feature for a couple of these players is their ability to demonstrate ‘Show Time’ skills.
Lothar Matthäus
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Pass
Matthaus was incredibly versatile, able to play in almost any midfield position and even as a defender. Many consider him one of the greatest players in his position, and after using him more, I actually think he’s even better than I initially thought.

This version of the player focuses much more on attack than his more balanced counterpart. He’s constantly moving and has incredible stamina, allowing him to play the entire game without needing a substitution.
Phenomenal Pass really suits his playstyle and is effective for him. What stands out is how well-rounded he is – he consistently gets into good scoring positions, almost like a second forward, due to his ability to find space. Plus, he intelligently drops back to help defensively and mark opposing players, thanks to his natural defensive awareness.
Dimitar Berbatov
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Deep-Lying Forward
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing
Dimitar Berbatov was a traditional, skillful striker who relied on his smarts, ball control, and ability to connect with teammates rather than sheer pace. This approach wasn’t always appreciated by fans who preferred faster, more direct attackers, but it was certainly effective.

Compared to his initial card in eFootball 2025, this version has a slightly lower overall rating. However, besides a change to Offensive Awareness, it’s very similar. He functions well as a Deep-Lying Forward, holding the ball effectively and performing reasonably well in quick passing plays. His aerial ability also seems solid.
This card benefits greatly from Berbatov’s excellent finishing. While he isn’t particularly fast running long distances, his quick acceleration and smart positioning make up for it. He really shines when you focus on keeping possession of the ball.
Giorgio Chiellini
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Showtime Skill: None
As far as I recall, this was Chiellini’s first Epic card. Considering how the game is played now, it might feel a bit slow unless you customize your team around it. From my experience, though, he’s a really solid player – he’s a classic ‘Destroyer’ type, tall and excellent at defending, which makes him enjoyable to use.

He’s a powerful and imposing defender, playing in a classic, no-nonsense style. It’s enjoyable to play alongside him, and he usually wins most battles against opposing players due to his strength. He tackles firmly and effectively, and perhaps the game mechanics make sliding tackles simpler for him.
The biggest drawback is definitely his lack of a Showtime skill, which is surprising for a card of this level. He’s also a bit slow when defending, so getting back into position can be tough if he’s pulled too far forward.
Roberto Donadoni
- Position: LMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
- Showtime Skill: None
Donadoni is an exciting, skillful winger who can really boost your attack on the left side. I’ve used him in-game, and even though there are other similar players with better stats, Donadoni is still a really enjoyable card to play with.

He’s incredibly quick and agile, blending the skills of a traditional winger with the playmaking ability of a midfielder. He excels at controlling the ball, keeping tight possession, and dribbling past defenders. He’s most effective playing as an attacking midfielder or on the wing.
Bojan Krkić
- Position: RWF
- Playing Style: Prolific Winger
- Showtime Skill: None
Bojan Krkic was a remarkably gifted young player, known for his incredible dribbling, close ball control, and ability to maintain possession. His player card highlights these skills, and he’s a really enjoyable player to use in-game if you like a dribbling-focused style.

Despite having stats in the 80s and 90s for speed and acceleration, this card is a solid winger. His finishing is okay, and combined with good kicking power, he’s dangerous inside the box, though not from long distance. He’s a great substitute option – he can really make a difference against fatigued opponents.
eFootball 2026 Treasure Link January 2026 pack – Epic Players Ranked
Okay, so I’ve been looking at all the stats, how long everyone’s been playing, and what’s strong in the game right now, and here’s how I’d rank the players based on all of that. It’s just my opinion, of course, but I think it makes sense when you consider everything!
