Emily Atack debuted a fresh new bob haircut on Instagram on Thursday, continuing her recent style evolution.
The 36-year-old actress recently sparked rumors about using weight-loss injections after noticeably slimming down. She debuted a new, shorter hairstyle in a recent photo.
Emily decided to ditch her longer hairstyle in favour of a voluminous bob.
The actor, known for his role in The Inbetweeners, shared a photo of himself wearing a plain black outfit and playfully captioned it ‘Bobviously’.
Catherine Tyldesley ‘Fit’; while others commented: ‘Oh Em!!! Stunning’ and ‘You look stunning’.
It comes a carousel of photos that Emily shared sparked an outrageous reaction from her followers.

Her online comments were flooded with messages, but many fans quickly came to her defense after some people speculated she was using products to lose weight.
‘Skinny jabs are jabbing’ wrote one follower as another asked ‘on the jabs? Looks good tho.’
Others questioned: ‘Are you on Mounjaro?’ and ‘That jab is making its rounds!’
One fan defended Emily, asking if people weren’t focusing too much on women’s appearances.
It’s a no-win situation for women – we’re criticized for being either overweight or underweight. While I understand you found her attractive, a woman’s body is never appropriate public discussion. She’s simply beautiful, and that’s enough.
Honestly, it really struck me the other day – someone shared a beautiful Christmas reel, full of lovely photos, and the vast majority of the comments weren’t about the festive spirit at all! They were focused on her appearance. It’s just… disappointing to see that happen, you know? It feels like we’re still so quick to comment on bodies instead of appreciating the moment.
Emily’s friend, comedian Katherine Ryan, also reacted, writing just ‘GIRL’ and adding a series of fire emojis.

A representative for Emily has been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment.
The actress and her fiancé, Alistair Garner, a scientist, welcomed their first child, a son named Barney, in June 2024.
Shortly after giving birth, Emily shared that she received many questions about losing weight, but she didn’t feel pressured to quickly return to exercising.
In a November 2024 interview on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, Emily discussed how having a baby can be freeing. She explained that pregnancy dramatically changes your perspective, making you see your body in a whole new way after experiencing so much physical change.
It’s strange to experience the huge physical and emotional changes of pregnancy – creating and giving birth to a child is incredible! – and then immediately be asked about getting your body back to how it was before. It feels like your value shifts from nurturing life to needing to quickly regain a certain appearance.
Emily chuckled, “You’re joking, right? I just went through labor and delivered a baby – it’s completely draining! I literally pushed a human being out of my body!”

Going to the gym is the last thing on my list, but everyone expects you to get fit again after time off.
It’s strange—people don’t celebrate the joy of becoming a mother, they immediately ask about losing weight. I’m not rushing back to the gym, and honestly, I’ve gained a little weight since the baby was born. Right now, I’m just focusing on enjoying this time with my little one.
Okay, so Emily just told me this, and honestly, it blew my mind. She says she’s always been good with her body image, which is amazing, but she was totally caught off guard by all the comments about how she looked when she played Charlotte in The Inbetweeners! I mean, everyone loved Charlotte, but apparently, the attention on her appearance was a shock. It just proves how incredible she is – handling all that while being hilarious as Charlotte! I’ve rewatched those episodes so many times, and she was perfect, honestly.
She explained that people began focusing on her weight, and someone even created a Facebook page about her – Charlotte Hinchcliffe – which she found incredibly hurtful and filled with negative comments about her body.
People tried to look on the bright side, pointing out that we were finally seeing more diverse body types represented on TV, with curvier women taking on glamorous roles. It was surprising, because I hadn’t even thought of myself as curvy before!
I was a size eight, which was a fairly small size, but for some people, it was surprising to see a woman with a bit more shape. They were accustomed to seeing extremely thin actresses cast in glamorous roles.
She explained the strange experience of being both praised and criticized online, saying people would call her both sexy and beautiful, then turn around and call her fat and ugly. It was incredibly confusing for her.

I’m incredibly fortunate to have always maintained a healthy relationship with food and never felt the need to diet.
I don’t believe in dieting. I’ve definitely had periods where I focused on being healthier – maybe cutting back on wine or hitting the gym more often – usually for a specific goal like a new job or to improve my well-being. But I’ve never lost weight just to satisfy someone else’s opinion of my body. It’s been about changing my mindset.
Okay, so, Emily announced she’s engaged last summer on Instagram and I lost it! There was this amazing photo of her with Alistair – seriously, he’s forty and looking good, and totally shirtless! – and you could just see her incredible diamond ring. The caption was just ‘It’s Friday, I’m in love’ and honestly, it felt like she was speaking directly to me! I’ve been screenshotting that photo ever since.
The couple have been acquainted for nearly thirty years, as their mothers are sisters – her mother and Alistair’s stepmother, Jane Garner, are siblings.
Emily and Alistair became acquainted when their families connected through marriage. Emily’s aunt began dating Alistair’s father, Stephen Garner, in the early 1990s, and they later married in 1994. Sadly, Stephen passed away in 2023, which was a great loss for Emily.
