Apparently, things have gotten so messy with her and Hugh Jackman being pulled into this awful family fight over ‘Song Sung Blue‘. It’s just… a total civil war, and everyone’s pointing fingers! I’m so stressed for them, it’s terrible to see them caught in the middle of this! I’ve been following this whole thing obsessively, and finally, Kate spoke up!
Famous actors portray Mike and Claire Sardina, a couple from Milwaukee who gained recognition in the 1990s by performing as Neil Diamond impersonators in their band, Lightning and Thunder.
Mike’s son, Michael Sardina Jr., recently told Daily Mail that the movie about his father was completely fabricated and that he was intentionally left out of it, even after he was paid to offer his input.
Michael Jr. was upset that Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson didn’t mention him during interviews for their movie, even calling them ‘monsters’ for the omission.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen families navigate complex dynamics, and this situation is particularly frustrating. It really stings when people discuss your family history on a public platform and completely leave you out of the narrative. It’s especially hurtful when you were a significant presence in the person’s life – even from a distance – and, as the only son, you’d expect to at least be acknowledged. It feels like a deliberate omission, and that’s incredibly painful.
Now, 46-year-old Hudson has finally broken her silence regarding the allegations.
She told The Hollywood Reporter that she didn’t want to comment, explaining she didn’t want to disrespect the filmmakers involved.
Michael Jr is Mike’s son from his second marriage to Diane Annunziata.
When Claire and Mike got married in 1994—Mike’s third marriage—he and his sister, Angelina Sardina, became step-siblings to Claire’s two daughters, Rachel and Dayna, from a previous relationship.
In 1999, while gardening, she was hit by a confused driver, resulting in the amputation of her leg below the knee.
After a really long recovery period, Lightning and Thunder sadly had to stop performing. To make ends meet, I pivoted careers and started working as an auto mechanic and doing handyman work. It wasn’t the life I expected, but it kept me going!
It was with great sadness that we lost Mike Sardina on July 27th, 2006. He was just 55 years old. Sadly, he had a bad fall at his Milwaukee home which led to a severe brain bleed. He slipped into a coma and, despite the best efforts of the hospital staff, passed away a few days later. It’s a reminder to us all to cherish every moment and prioritize safety at home.
Despite the recent controversy, Hudson has received positive reviews and was nominated for a SAG Award for her performance in the film.
