As a PlayStation fan, I absolutely love PlayStation Plus! It’s such a great deal – every month we get free games, and things like Game Trials let you try out new titles. Plus, there’s a huge library of games to play. The only slightly annoying thing is that the game selection changes all the time. They’re always adding new stuff, which is cool, but it also means games you like can disappear after a while.
PlayStation Plus members are keeping an eye on January 20th (according to Reddit posts), as several games are scheduled to leave the service. Currently, only four games are confirmed to be removed, but players expect more titles will become unavailable soon.
PlayStation Plus Gamers, Be Aware Of January 20

As a PlayStation Plus member, I’m used to games leaving the service every so often – it’s just how the rotating catalog works. But honestly, this January’s list of removals feels a little rough, even though it’s not super long. We only have until January 20th to play these games before they’re gone:
- Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased Time
- Monopoly Plus
- Sayonara Wild Hearts
- SD Gundam Battle Alliance
You can find a list of games leaving PlayStation Plus on your PS4 or PS5 console under the ‘Last Chance to Play’ section in the Collections tab. If you enjoy the Like a Dragon series, especially Yakuza: Like a Dragon, don’t miss The Man Who Erased His Name before it’s removed in a few weeks. It’s a very popular game!
As Shoazo and others have pointed out, now’s the time to play Sayonara Wild Hearts before this highly-rated rhythm game is taken off the available list.
More Games Are Sure To Be Leaving

The list of games leaving PlayStation Plus on January 20 isn’t too long right now, but players anticipate it will get bigger, as has happened with previous removal dates. It’s a good idea to check the ‘Last Chance to Play’ list often for any new additions, although PlayStation Plus usually provides plenty of warning before removing well-known games.
If PlayStation Plus games are removed from the service, you’ll need to buy them from the PlayStation Store to keep playing, as long as they aren’t being removed from the store entirely (which doesn’t happen often). While it’s a shame games are taken off the list, PS Plus members regularly get new games added, including free games each month.
PlayStation Plus members should definitely check out these games before January 20th, particularly if you’ve been meaning to play them but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
