Who are the Angels of Delusion in Zenless Zone Zero

I’m so excited about the Angels of Delusion, or A.O.D. as everyone’s calling them, in Zenless Zone Zero! They were hinted at even before the game came out, and they’re turning out to be amazing. They’re a virtual idol group – think a super cool underground music scene! We’ve got characters like Sunna, who’s a physical support, Aria who messes with ether anomalies, and Nangong Yu, a physical attacker who can stun enemies. They’re adding a whole new layer to the game with their music, performances, and support roles, plus a ton of interesting lore!

Currently, only Sunna has been shown in the 2.1 Version Fantasy Resort story. Aria was briefly mentioned in an older event, and that’s been the extent of their presence in the game so far. This has made fans of Zenless Zone Zero very excited about the possibility of finally playing as these characters, after a long wait and several hints about their arrival.

Aria is a powerful new character, classified as an S-Rank Ether Anomaly Agent, in Zenless Zone Zero. She’s also the main singer for the Angels of Delusion idol group. In the game, she appears as a somewhat shy artificial intelligence. During a test phase of the Virtual Battlefield Mayhem event, she was known as ‘AriaDoesNotDreamNightmares,’ which led many players to overlook her presence.

The details shared for Sunna

Sunna is a highly anticipated character in Zenless Zone Zero, classified as a top-tier ‘S-Rank’ Physical Support Agent. She’s also the composer for the popular in-game idol group, Angels of Delusion. Players first saw her on screen during the 2.1 Version’s ‘Fantasy Resort’ questline. Before that, she was revealed alongside Aria and Nangong Yu as one of the ‘Virtual Idols’ in a post on BiliBili during the game’s closed beta testing (CBT 3).

The details we know for Nangong Yu

She’s the main dancer for the Angels of Delusion and is likely their leader as well. After previews at The Game Awards 2025, she’s set to become a playable character in Version 2.7. She’s expected to be a powerful, physical attacker who can stun opponents (though her exact stats haven’t been confirmed). Her angelic design, featuring a halo and wings, is similar to characters from the game Blue Archive.

I’m really excited about this character! Right now, she’s only had a tiny mention in the game – just a quick line from another character. But everything points to her being a big deal in Version 2.6, which is all about the Angels of Delusion idol group.
