Tennis Australia is trying to attract a famous American couple to be special guests and host VIP events at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
According to the Herald Sun, Tennis Australia has invited Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, to the Australian Open.
A representative said they expect the famous couple to be there, particularly because Travis has a free period in his work commitments.
I’m so excited for the Australian Open! As a huge fan, I can’t wait to see all the amazing celebrities and VIPs attending – they’re bringing in some incredible guests thanks to our wonderful partners. It’s going to be a fantastic event!
Now that Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t in the playoffs, we’ve invited them to attend the Australian Open.
I was so excited to hear that Joe Burrow and Micah Parsons were at the event last year and really enjoyed themselves! The spokesperson mentioned they both had a fantastic time, which just makes me even more eager for next year.

We’d be thrilled to host Travis and other NFL players at the Australian Open, just like we welcomed Joe and Micah this year.
It’s still uncertain if Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift will be there, but event organizers have announced a lot of celebrities who are confirmed to attend the first day of the event on January 18th.
Ariane Titmus, Carrie Bickmore, Nadia Bartel, and Kerri-Anne Kennerley will be attending the glamorous Set In Style dinner.
Eric Bana and the band The Veronicas are expected to be at the men’s and women’s championship games, and Tom Hanks, Gerard Butler, and Hayley Atwell have reportedly received invitations as well.
There’s a good chance Liam Hemsworth will be there again, and he might even be with Ralph Lauren.
Following Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s appearance at the US Open in September – where they watched Jannik Sinner of Italy compete against American player Taylor Fritz in the final match of the year – an invitation has been extended.
During the final, cameras caught the famous couple enthusiastically singing along to The Darkness’s hit song ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’. A video of the moment quickly went viral online.
Taylor’s enthusiastic fans and some tennis viewers loved seeing her and Kelce enjoying themselves together, but others criticized them for being overly showy and not acting with proper etiquette in New York.

Someone on X commented that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seemed awkward and inauthentic while attending the US Open, describing their interactions as ‘cringe’.
Honestly, as someone who follows celebrity culture closely, I’ve noticed a lot of people are saying this couple really seems to enjoy being photographed. And a lot of folks just aren’t convinced it’s all genuine – they’re skeptical of the whole thing, and I get why! It feels a little… staged to some viewers, and that’s a common reaction when a couple seems to constantly be ‘on’ for the cameras.
Someone else commented that if you can’t recognize Taylor is being overly dramatic and attention-seeking, there’s no reasoning with you.
Honestly, watching her play the US Open was… jarring. It just didn’t feel right – she acted like she was on some wild vacation, not competing in a major tennis tournament. It was totally inappropriate for the setting. I’m not sure what it was, maybe a huge difference in upbringing or something, but it was definitely a clash of styles. It just didn’t feel like she understood the seriousness of the event.
Another fan commented in agreement, saying, ‘I was thinking the same thing! It’s the US Open, not a football game – can’t people show a little respect and avoid public displays of affection?’
‘She definitely won’t be invited to Wimbledon,’ concluded another.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are receiving lots of offers from Australia, including one from Robert Irwin, who suggested their wedding could be held at Australia Zoo – he thinks it would be the ideal location.
In a preview for an upcoming ABC News special called ‘Year: 2025,’ the 22-year-old winner of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ announced he’ll welcome the couple by opening Australia Zoo to them.

Robert suggested in the video that having the wedding in Australia would be fantastic. He said, ‘I think an Australian wedding would really make it special.’
Weddings at Australia Zoo are incredibly popular, and we’ve hosted quite a few, he explained.
Robert then addressed the couple directly, urging them to get in touch to lock in the date.
‘So, Travis and Taylor, hit me up. I got you!’ he said.
