The Masked Singer returns in season 14 premiere with double elimination

Fox’s The Masked Singer returned on Wednesday night for its season 14 premiere.

This week’s episode was the first opportunity for the contestants to really demonstrate their skills, and it also saw the first two competitors eliminated from the show.

Oh my gosh, you guys, the new season is going to be INSANE! Fox says they’re taking the themed episodes – you know, the ones we ALL live for – and making them even BETTER. Like, seriously, they’re hitting all the biggest, most amazing pop culture moments from back in the day! I’m already counting down the seconds, it’s going to be pure nostalgia overload!

This season’s singing competition features some unusual contestants, including the Eggplant, Pugcasso, Queen Corgi, Scarab, and The Croissants.

Nick Cannon returned as host, and the judging panel – featuring Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora – was also back for another season.

The judges kicked off the show with a performance before the contestants came on stage.

Everyone expected Robin and Rita to perform, as they’re professional singers. But it was surprising to see Jenny and Ken join them.

I was so excited for the season premiere, and Galaxy Girl really delivered! She came out wearing this incredible headpiece – it looked like a planet with rings, and these bright, sun-like beams were shooting out from it. It was a stunning entrance, honestly!

Her powerful performance of Chappell Roan’s “Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl” earned her a standing ovation from the judges.
