Reports suggest Dr. Ranj Singh’s position on BBC’s Morning Live is now in doubt, as the show has introduced a new group of doctors to fill his role.
The 46-year-old doctor, who often gave medical advice on the show, hasn’t been on TV since July 2025. This is because he recently started working for Voy, a company that makes weight loss injections, and this decision caused some controversy, especially as Coleen Nolan also works with the company.
BBC executives are reportedly very pleased with Dr. Kas Ahmed and Dr. Aziza Sesay, stars of the third series of The Traitors. They’ve been added to the show’s team of medical experts, joining Dr. Xand van Tulleken, Dr. Punam Krishan, and Dr. Oscar Duke.
Dr. Ranj hasn’t appeared regularly on Morning Live recently. A source told The Sun that because he’s now working with a weight loss company, it wouldn’t have been right for him to discuss weight loss injections on the show, especially since they’re a popular topic right now.
He’s taken a break to pursue other projects, and new team members have quickly made a positive impression on management.
The team at Morning Live relies on having a variety of specialists who contribute when their expertise is needed. It truly takes a collaborative effort to make the show happen.

Daily Mail has contacted Dr Ranj’s representative and the BBC for comment.
We don’t know how much the television doctor is earning from this new opportunity, but he previously received £22,500 for appearing in an AstraZeneca advertisement promoting flu vaccinations for children.
Dr. Ranj last posted on Voy’s social media on November 13th, and it’s currently unknown when he’ll be back on the show.
He explained to Coleen in a video last October that platforms like Voy are helpful because they combine everything into one convenient place.
We offer coaching to help with many parts of your life, along with clinical support when you need it.
Backed by universities like Oxford, the company offers weight loss injections starting at £169 per month.
The doctor explained that the system puts everything in one convenient place, making it easy to access support tailored specifically to each individual’s needs.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the research, and it’s really exciting! Studies are showing that programs like Voy are actually more successful when it comes to not just losing weight, but keeping it off long-term. That’s why I think it’s such a valuable tool – it’s about lasting results, not just a quick fix.

The BBC has stated that, as a freelancer, the doctor is allowed to take on other paid jobs outside of working for the BBC.
A BBC representative stated that Dr. Ranj is a freelance contributor and is allowed to take on work outside of the BBC, as long as it follows their editorial rules.
‘He has stepped away from his role on Morning Live while he fulfils this third-party engagement.’
Clinical options offered by the platform include Mounjaro and Wygovy fat jabs and coaching.
In the 2020s, injections designed to dissolve fat – often called ‘fat jabs’ – became increasingly popular.
These methods help people feel less hungry, providing a way to lose weight more quickly without surgery.
