Jenny McCarthy, 53, reveals bedroom ‘challenges’ with husband Donnie Wahlberg, 56

Jenny McCarthy and husband Donnie Wahlberg celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in August.

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about the importance of open communication in relationships, and this week, a well-known actress shared something very relatable. She revealed that she and her husband, both in their mid-fifties, have a challenge they face when it comes to intimacy. It’s so refreshing to see celebrities being honest about the normal ups and downs of a long-term relationship!

She admitted things haven’t been easy, telling Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on their talk show Wednesday that they’ve faced some difficulties.

‘To be blunt, snoring,’ the blonde bombshell confessed, prompting laughter from the live audience.

She explained that his snoring started just as she was beginning to experience perimenopause, and then she told me how she dealt with it.

I’ve really focused on making my sleep better lately, and one thing that’s made a huge difference is using big, comfortable headphones every night. They really help me block everything out and get a good night’s rest.

Okay, so get this – I made this incredible pillow fort, and it’s HUGE. I mean, seriously, it’s like… a wall! Donnie actually calls it the Great Wall of China, which is just… perfect. It’s amazing because it totally blocks out sound now. It’s basically my own little soundproof room, and I’m obsessed!

The celebrity explained that if her husband starts snoring, she’ll nudge him to roll over.

Elsewhere in the interview McCarthy gushed about how great her spouse is.

‘He is the nicest human being you’ll ever meet. People know that,’ she said.

Overjoyed, she explained that her husband spoils her, is a great communicator, and shows her a lot of love. She described him as the ideal partner – completely and utterly perfect.

This announcement follows a recent interview where the former Playboy model shared what she believes has kept their marriage strong for so long.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly for their relationship issue, she revealed a playful and intimate activity she and her partner enjoy at parties.

She admitted they enjoy finding quiet moments at parties. ‘If there’s a Christmas party, we’ll always seek out the basement bathroom for some privacy,’ she said.

The lovebirds also admitted to hooking up at weddings and in their car to ‘keep it fun and spicy.’

Wahlberg remembered a humorous incident at the 2014 Creative Arts Emmys where a famous actor caught them being affectionate in public.

Someone told us to go away and have some privacy. I jokingly thought it sounded like God speaking! It turned out to be Morgan Freeman, and he even winked as he walked past.

The performer, originally from Boston, explained that they make a conscious effort to maintain the spark in their relationship. They shared that while love and attraction are present, they also prioritize nurturing their connection.

He shared that the key to maintaining their connection was consistent effort. He emphasized that even after ten years together, they shouldn’t stop prioritizing romance and connection, saying, ‘Keep doing it.’

The celebrity also pointed out that a healthy marriage starts with taking care of your own well-being, because you can’t fully commit to and respect a relationship if you’re not prioritizing yourself.
