Liam, a devoted Manchester City supporter just like his brother Noel, believes the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the year’s most important event.
He added: ‘Nothing going on next year except the WC. ITS (sic) NOT HAPPENING. (sic)’
He also shared that he and Noel Gallagher declined an offer to perform a residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas. He explained, ‘It’s just not our vibe. It seems geared towards people who want a relaxed, almost hazy experience. I need energy – I want to see a wild, lively crowd jumping around!’
The Daily Mail reported that the brothers plan to continue their tour with five special shows at Knebworth next summer, celebrating 30 years since their original concerts there.
In August 1996, at the peak of their popularity, Oasis performed for massive crowds of 250,000 people over two nights at Knebworth House, a historic landmark in Hertfordshire.
Liam recently hinted at exciting Oasis news, building anticipation after sharing a teasing message on social media.
He wrote on X: ‘BIG ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT’, before more recently shutting down the idea.
