Adam Peaty’s family ‘left distressed’ after ‘maliciously’ being sent photo of their estranged son with the Ramsays and the Beckhams on his wedding day after they were disinvited

Adam Peaty’s family, who weren’t invited to his wedding, were upset after receiving a photo of him with famous guests like the Ramsays and Beckhams. They received the photo via email, and felt it was sent to deliberately hurt them.

Adam, 31, married Holly Ramsay, the 25-year-old daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, on December 27th at Bath Abbey. The wedding took place during a family disagreement, resulting in Adam’s mother being uninvited and only his sister attending from his side of the family.

The newlyweds posed for a photo that would appear in Vogue magazine, alongside Gordon Ramsay, his wife Tana, their two-year-old son Jesse, and Sir David and Lady Victoria.

Someone sent a family member a photo from a wedding we weren’t allowed to attend—except for Adam’s sister—and we were really surprised. We couldn’t understand why anyone would send us a picture from an event we were excluded from.

We don’t know whether this was sent by mistake or intentionally to cause us pain. It’s been incredibly upsetting, and we can’t share it with Adam’s mother, Caroline, as she would be very upset by it.

According to a source, the photo features the bride and groom with only the bride’s parents and their closest friends, and the Beckhams are positioned as if they were Caroline and Mark themselves!

Another source told The Sun, which first published the story, that Gordon’s son was present, but not Adam.

Adam shares five-year-old George, who was present at the ceremony, with ex-partner Eirianedd Munro. 

This follows Gordon’s claim that his wedding speech was ‘perfect and heartfelt,’ a statement he reaffirmed after causing upset with the athlete’s mother.

The celebrity chef appeared on This Morning with his 24-year-old daughter, Tilly, on Monday and talked about attending the wedding.

According to The Sun, Gordon Ramsay complimented Holly on how stunning she looked during his speech at her wedding and told Adam how fortunate he was to be marrying her. He also pointed to Adam’s mother, Tana, saying that was a glimpse of what Adam could expect in the future.

The article reports that Gordon made a hurtful comment to his daughter, Holly, about her father, Adam, implying she wished her parents were still together. He reportedly said, ‘Shame you don’t have the same,’ referencing Adam’s parents being absent.

After the wedding, it came out that swimmer Adam’s mother was deeply upset and hurt by comments Gordon made during his speech. He had publicly brought up their long-standing and difficult family conflict.

According to a family friend, the celebrity chef’s comment in the speech deeply upset her. They believe the remark was intentionally hurtful and pre-planned.

Gordon stood by his comments, telling This Morning’s Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley that his wedding speech was ‘exactly as it should be – heartfelt and genuine’.

He said he always pictured that special dad-daughter moment, and when it actually happened, he was a complete wreck – in the best way, of course! It’s just… so sweet and real. He’s such a softie under all that chef intensity, you know?

The speech went really well – it was perfect, actually. You need to connect with people, be genuine and show some emotion. It’s a challenging task, though.

Tilly, his daughter, confessed she’d heard the speech beforehand. She remembered, ‘It was Christmas Eve, I sat in his room for about an hour while he practiced reading it.’

‘Going through everything but no tweaks were needed, it was perfect. It made everybody cry.’

Last week, Holly stood by her father’s speech, even though Caroline was upset, explaining that she had felt incredibly happy while he was speaking.

Holly recently told British Vogue about a happy moment during Gordon’s speech, sharing a picture of herself and Adam smiling and laughing together.

She described listening to her father’s speech, looking at all the guests, and being overcome with happiness and love seeing their faces.

Holly recently shared that her parents covered the costs of her and Adam’s honeymoon in Mauritius, calling it their wedding gift – a comment seemingly directed at her strained relationship with the Peaty family.

She explained that they were heading to Mauritius for a relaxing beach vacation, a gift from her parents as their wedding present. She also mentioned she had to let her husband, Adam, know their honeymoon wouldn’t revolve around a large swimming pool.
