Australian model Sahara Ray has welcomed her first child, a baby girl.
Thirty-two-year-old swimwear designer, and daughter of surfing icon Tony Ray, announced the birth of her baby on Instagram Thursday with a heartwarming video of her holding the newborn.
In the caption, Sahara revealed her baby’s very unusual name: ‘Snow Ray 1/27/2026.’
She added: ‘I can’t believe I made this little Maricle with my body. I’m so proud and so in love.’
Sahara shared a heartfelt video on her Stories, showing her lovingly holding her puppy, Snow, and telling her followers how beautiful she is.
It’s unclear who is the father of the model’s newborn, and it appear Sahara is currently single.
The woman, who was previously linked to Justin Bieber in 2016, shared updates about her pregnancy on social media and recently announced she was getting ready for labor to be induced.
She playfully complained online, noticing that while others were just announcing their babies due in August 2026, she’d actually been pregnant since May 2025.
The model, Sahara, recently announced she is pregnant. This news follows a challenging period for her, as she shared in May 2024 that she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a condition where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its nerves.
She shared with her followers that she had lost the ability to move her legs from the upper thighs down, requiring a wheelchair and walker for mobility.
Sahara shared that her life was instantly altered, accompanying her statement with videos documenting her experience with the illness.
She explained that she was hit by a drunk driver travelling at 80m/h on April 8.
‘It basically sent my body into shock which sent my body into this crazy sickness,’ she revealed.
She explained that she was very sick for about ten days to two weeks. During that time, she could barely eat and became quite weak because she couldn’t keep food down.
After becoming ill, she started experiencing tingling and numbness in her feet, which gradually spread up her legs.
The model was promptly rushed to the emergency room.
She shared with her followers that this has been a difficult time, but she’s been trying to stay positive and hopeful that she’ll feel better soon.
Thankfully, Sahara appears to have seen a significant improvement in her health since then.
