Love Island’s Will Young and Jessie Wynter are engaged!
The couple finally confirmed their engagement on Sunday, posting photos of the romantic proposal on social media after months of rumors.
The pair, who met on the iconic reality series in 2023, secretly got engaged on December 9, 2025.
Will announced his engagement on Instagram, sharing adorable photos and the date – September 12, 2025 – with the caption, ‘The love of my life said yes!’
The photos show Will proposing on one knee, and other pictures capture the joyful celebration that followed.
One picture shows a detailed view of Jessie’s engagement ring, while another is a cute selfie of the happy couple.

In the caption, Will continued: ‘On the 9th of December I asked Jessie to marry me.
Ever since then, we’ve been happily celebrating with Jessie’s family – just the people closest to us, and exactly how we envisioned it: quietly and privately.
‘We wanted to soak up this moment together and be fully present before sharing it with the world.
It still feels surreal – I can’t believe we’re engaged! I’ve never felt so much love in my life.
He went on to describe how he’d been carefully planning this for a while, and that the biggest part of it was keeping it hidden from Jessie.
He admitted ‘it wasn’t easy’ but affirmed that ‘every second was worth it’.
Will continued: ‘Jessie deserves the world and I can’t wait to spend my life giving it to her.
‘Since we met on Love Island three years ago I’ve been the happiest boy in the world.

‘From the very beginning I knew I wanted Jessie to be my fiancée, I just knew it had to be perfect.
I looked all over for the perfect spot, knowing how much she cherishes both the ocean and the mountains. Ultimately, there’s no place she loves as much as being at home.
Jessie always shows me her favorite spots when we visit Tasmania, and we just sit and enjoy the scenery. When I discovered this particular place, I immediately knew it was perfect.
‘We are so incredibly happy,’ he added.
Will finished his message by saying, ‘Jessie, I love you completely, and I’ll love you forever.’
I hope I can make you happy for the rest of your life, and thank you for bringing so much happiness to mine.
Jessie commented on the post, writing: ‘The most perfect day. I love you so much.’
Jessie and Will recently announced they’re ready to have a family, sharing that they’re taking their relationship to a new stage.
Since leaving Love Island, Jessie and Will have been living on Will’s family’s 700-acre farm near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, and are now in the process of building a house there.

You know, I’ve been following Jessie’s journey, and it’s so lovely to see her feeling settled! She recently shared that she’s finally achieved her big travel goals – she’s really ‘checked them off the list’ – and now she and Will are excited about the possibility of starting a family. It’s a really sweet next chapter for them!
Jessie told the Daily Mail that she made it clear to Will she wanted to travel, own a home, and feel settled in her life before starting a family.
Turns out, he suggested we spend a month traveling through Italy, and we actually did it! We’ve now accomplished everything we set out to do.
Will shared that they’re planning to start a family and get married, and they’re currently building a house on their farm.
We already have a small farm with two donkeys, five alpacas, three goats, two pigs, and ten newborn lambs, and we’re growing our animal family!
Although they weren’t currently engaged, the couple shared their wedding plans: they hope to get married in Australia, where Jessie is from, and then have another celebration in the UK.
Jessie explained that while they aren’t currently engaged, they plan to get married in Australia, specifically Tasmania, with their immediate family present.
Will explained that they’re planning two wedding celebrations. The first will be a small, private ceremony with close friends in Tasmania, where they’ve spent a lot of time together as a couple. They’re also hosting a larger party in the UK for a wider group of guests, including influencers.
Jessie explained that weddings can be stressful, and they wanted a small, private wedding in Tasmania. They hoped this would allow them to relax and enjoy the day without focusing on getting the perfect photos.
Will added: ‘I just want to make Jessie the happiest guy.’
