Scarlett Moffatt says she is ‘choosing peace’ for 2026 as she shares sweet family snaps after revealing she suffered a miscarriage

Scarlett Moffatt has announced she experienced a miscarriage and is focusing on positivity and family in 2024, sharing heartwarming photos with her loved ones.

The 35-year-old former Gogglebox star shared heartbreaking news shortly after Christmas: she won’t be able to have any more children following a miscarriage last year.

On Friday, she used Instagram to share her New Year wishes, including messages for her fiancé, Scott Dobinson, and their son, Jude.

Scarlett posted some cute photos of herself, Scott, and Jude enjoying a New Year’s Day roast dinner together.

She shared some photos with a message about focusing on positivity. ‘I can’t control everything that happens,’ she wrote, ‘but I can control where I put my energy. I’m choosing peace as I head into 2026.’

This news follows Scarlett’s recent revelation about a miscarriage she experienced. She and her partner, Scott, welcomed their son two years ago, in 2023.

After Jude was born, we unfortunately had a miscarriage. It happened later in the pregnancy, and we were heartbroken because we had already shared the news with friends and family and were so looking forward to it.

We’d spent time dreaming about their future – things like racing down the stairs with their sibling on Christmas morning. It’s heartbreaking to grieve not only the person you lost, but also the life you had envisioned for them.

Scarlett told The Sun that she was lying in bed with Scott when she decided she couldn’t take the pain of their relationship anymore. She suggested they break up, but agreed they should focus on enjoying time with their son, Jude.

It’s heartbreaking to see anyone go through something like that, and I admire their courage in continuing on afterward, because it can be incredibly damaging to a person’s spirit.

Scarlett had previously discussed her difficult childbirth experience with Jude, explaining that she lost a lot of blood during labor.

She recently shared on the show Loose Women that despite not wanting one in her birth plan, she needed a blood transfusion during childbirth, losing around one and a half litres of blood.

I was feeling quite dizzy, and I asked my husband to go with the baby. Soon after, the baby developed low blood sugar.

His blood sugar was low, and he was jaundiced, so I went to the NICU. Scott saw me and told me to go back to bed.

After Jude was born, Scarlett shared on Instagram how thankful she was for the care he received in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Scarlett shared that it’s NICU Awareness Month. She explained that her son, Jude, was born unexpectedly early – at 35 weeks and 5 days, about a month before his due date – and considers him her ‘miracle baby’.

I’ll always be thankful for the incredible care and support we received from the NICU at Durham Hospital, particularly from Helen and Charlotte!

I’m thrilled to be working with WaterWipes on their fifth annual Pure Foundation Fund! It’s a wonderful initiative that lets you show your appreciation for people and teams who provide incredible support to premature babies or those in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The TV star and her ex-police officer fiancé, Scott, got engaged in 2023, shortly after having a baby. They plan to get married next year.

Scarlett recently told the Daily Mail that Scott has left his job to focus on raising their children at home.

She shared that she felt fortunate to have taken two years off work after Jude was born. She described those two years as being fully dedicated to motherhood and the best time of her life.

After Jude turned two, I realized I needed to return to work, if only to have adult conversations – I really missed talking to people my own age.

This industry is really tough, and I worried that if I waited any longer, people would start to forget me – just remember me as someone who occasionally appeared on TV.

My partner, Scott, is amazing. He recently took a two-year break from his police work to be a full-time dad, which is fantastic. We’re making it work thanks to him, and we also have a lot of support from the grandparents.
