Tom Hiddleston has shared his excitement about returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, describing it as a surprisingly fresh take on the superhero world.
The actor, known for playing Jonathan Pine in season two of The Night Manager, is also set to reprise his role as Loki in a film called Doomsday.
Tom Hiddleston will be joined by many other popular Marvel actors, like Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, in what promises to be a massive and exciting Marvel movie.

Although specific details about the Doomsday plot are still limited, Tom Hiddleston has described the main story as incredibly well-done and completely original.
“My contribution has been contributed,” he told GQ about the upcoming movie.

This story is incredible. The central plot point is truly clever and took me completely by surprise – I’ve never encountered anything quite like it.
The second trailer for Doomsday has been released, showing Chris Hemsworth returning as Thor. In the trailer, he’s seen praying to his father, Odin, while delivering a speech.
Man, I’ve spent my whole life running towards every battle, every duty call, you name it. But now, something totally unexpected happened – I’ve got a kid. A little girl, Love, who hasn’t seen any of the crazy stuff I’ve been through. It’s wild, honestly, seeing my real daughter, India Rose, play her in the movie.
The thunder god pleaded for the power of the All-Fathers, hoping to fight one last battle, overcome another foe, and finally return home to his loved one, likely after facing Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr).

Don’t train her for war, but for peace – a quiet strength I myself never learned. Please, listen to me.
Before this, Doomsday released a first trailer featuring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. Though he previously passed on the Captain America mantle to Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie), Steve Rogers appears in the trailer holding a baby, the identity of which is currently unknown.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released on 18 December 2026.
