Season 2 of Landman is building towards another wedding for Tommy Norris, and Episode 7 brought significant changes for Billy Bob Thornton’s character. The show has been hinting at it for a while, and after Episode 7, ‘Forever Is an Instant,’ it feels pretty official – things are really moving in that direction, and I’m starting to think we might actually see wedding bells soon!

Okay, so things get really interesting in the show. Angela decides to hand down her engagement ring – yes, that ring – to her son, Cooper, so he can finally propose to Ariana. Apparently, Cooper had to ask about a ring, and Angela’s response was… well, pretty Angela. She basically told him he could have hers, but with the charming little addendum that it’s ‘tainted with the stench of failure.’ You gotta love her honesty, even if it’s a little brutal!

Although this moment provided some humor and hasn’t been brought up since, viewers can anticipate another wedding for Tommy, as Angela fully expects him to remarry.

Cooper Proposing To Ariana In Landman Season 2 Prompted Tommy’s Potential Engagement

Tommy isn’t the only one planning a wedding – Cooper recently proposed to Ariana at the end of the show, and Norris Jr.’s engagement is what got his parents thinking about their own. Cooper asking his mom about engagement rings actually made her reflect on her own marriage and ring.

Okay, so Angela officially gave Cooper the ring, and seeing her finger empty in the next episode of Landman is really making me think she’s going to go all-in on her plans!
