The final episode of Stranger Things wrapped up the main story with plenty of action and satisfying endings for many beloved characters. Despite this, some viewers are pointing out a few plot points that weren’t fully explained or resolved.
Many viewers have expressed disappointment with how the character of Dr. Kay, played by Linda Hamilton, was handled in the show. While introduced as a major villain in the final season and heavily involved in the hunt for Eleven, she largely disappeared during the crucial final scenes. Fans feel her storyline was never properly concluded, especially as she wasn’t prominently featured during important moments like Eleven’s sacrifice.
Okay, so the show does a big time jump – almost a year and a half! – and it’s kind of weird how they just sweep everything that happened in the Upside Down under the rug, pretending it was just an earthquake. But the really strange part? Dr. Kay just vanishes! Seriously, she’s completely gone. I saw someone on X – you know, Twitter – jokingly call her the most useless character in TV history, and honestly, it’s hard to disagree. It’s like they introduced her for nothing!
Viewers were confused about why creatures like Demodogs, Demogorgons, and Demobats didn’t appear in the final battle, pointing out that Vecna and the Mind Flayer seemed to fight alone. Many took to social media to ask where these monsters were, with some suggesting the creators, the Duffer Brothers, had simply forgotten about them.
Many viewers were puzzled by how Max was able to graduate with her class after being in a coma for so long. Some questioned how she could have completed her studies while unconscious for two years, with one person simply writing, “Max was in a coma for two years—how did she graduate?”
