New Ahsoka Season 2 Logo Revealed by Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson, the star of “Ahsoka,” recently shared a look at the logo for Season 2 on Instagram. While the release date isn’t confirmed – production finished late last year – the new season will continue the story from Season 1. Dawson plays Ahsoka Tano and is joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ivanna Sakhno, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and other cast members.

Dawson posted a New Year’s Eve selfie on Instagram. The photo showed her with a new, short blonde hairstyle, looking upwards. She was wearing a black puffer jacket with the logo for Ahsoka Season 2 on the sleeve.

Dawson started her New Year’s Eve post with “Good morning New Years Eve…” and it has already received over 10,000 likes.

Dave Filoni, the creator of Ahsoka, revealed to Collider last year that the second season will consist of eight episodes, just like the first. He also hinted that viewers who liked the way Season 1 unfolded are in for something special.

Filming for Season 2 started in April 2025 and finished in October, as shared in an Instagram post by Dawson (which has since been deleted). She announced the wrap by saying she signed and gifted almost 1,000 metal posters to the hardworking crew of ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2, adding that ‘the force is strong with this team’ and they could enjoy a piece of the galaxy until they reunited (according to X, formerly Twitter).

Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan gave fans a first look at what’s coming in the next season, revealing key plot points. The story will follow Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren as they explore the planet Peridea, a journey connected to powerful figures known as the Mortis gods. This will lead to a major showdown with Baylan Skoll, played by Rory McCann (taking over the role from the late Ray Stevenson). Fans can also expect to see Garazeb Orrelios return, and a large-scale battle between the Galactic Empire, led by Grand Admiral Thrawn, and the New Republic, commanded by Admiral Ackbar (according to Screenrant).

There’s no confirmed release date for Ahsoka Season 2 yet. But, if the production schedule is similar to Season 1—which was made from May to October 2022 and released in August 2023—we might see the new season around August 2026.

Bryce Dallas Howard directed two episodes in the second season. Jon Favreau, Jennifer Getzinger, and Anders Engström each directed episodes as well.
