The truth about the Sussexes at that Kardashian party is out – and it’s a big, hot jelly of a mess: JAN MOIR

The international mystery that has puzzled absolutely no one has finally been solved.

Okay, you won’t believe the story I’m hearing! Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle actually asked the Kardashians to take down some photos they’d shared online. Yes, you read that right! It’s a bit of a surprising request, but sources are saying it happened. It just goes to show you never know what’s happening behind the scenes with these high-profile families!

Honestly, it’s hard to imagine anyone but Mickey and Minnie Mouse wanting those private photos taken down. Who else would care so much?

Last November, photos surfaced of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, held at Jeff Bezos’s home in Hollywood. This was the night before the UK’s Remembrance Sunday.

Talk about glamour! I wish somebody would, because it was thin on the ground that night.

At the Bezos’s extravagant party, martinis were plentiful, and the entire house was decorated in red to fit the James Bond theme, playfully dubbed ‘Kris 0070’.

A surprising mix of celebrities and pop culture icons – from Mariah Carey and Oprah Winfrey to characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and even Mr. Bean – gathered to celebrate the Kardashian matriarch’s birthday in a lavish event.

Kris and her daughter Kim shared photos from the formal event online, but quickly removed all images featuring Harry and Meghan.

Everyone’s wondering what went wrong with the photos, who made the mistake, and who immediately asked for them to be taken down. Many observers of the royal family have suspected Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were behind the decision, realizing the images could reflect poorly on them.

The stark difference between Harry and Meghan dancing with the Kardashians and the rest of the Royal Family respectfully commemorating Remembrance Day in London was incredibly striking and caused significant criticism.

People magazine, which often featured stories about the Sussexes, reported that the couple hadn’t authorized photos to be taken inside the party. They had specifically declined photo permission on a consent form, which resulted in the Instagram photos being taken down.

People familiar with what happened said that report isn’t true, and that guests were never asked to do that.

After two months of speculation, Kim Kardashian has spoken about the controversy. On a family podcast, she referred to the incident as ‘Photogate’ and suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle changed their story due to concerns about how the photos would be perceived.

She explained that posting it felt right at the time, but afterwards, people realized it was Remembrance Day and worried about appearing insensitive, even though the post was already public. She believes they quickly understood it had been a mistake.

I was really impressed with how Kim handled things at the gala! Harry and Meghan were there too, and she explained that while it was okay they’d been at a charity event, she understood they might not want pictures of them dancing around circulating, especially with Remembrance Day happening. It was a classy move – she took those photos down to be respectful, and I think that was the right thing to do.

These individuals are unreliable and consistently create problems. They seem destined to cause trouble and are likely to make things go wrong.

If Harry and Meghan didn’t want attention for celebrating the night before Remembrance Sunday, they could have simply chosen not to celebrate then.

They tried to do too much at once – attending the party, covering up evidence, and ultimately getting caught – and ended up failing completely.

Trying to improve your image in the UK by making your hosts delete photos is a weak and ineffective tactic, and the situation itself won’t be forgotten.

I’d admire Prince Harry and his wife more if they’d simply been upfront about their choices. If they’d presented their new life in America as a deliberate decision – ‘this is who we are now, and this is how we’ll live’ – it would show greater integrity.

Everyone recognizes Prince Harry’s genuine respect and appreciation for the British Armed Forces and their sacrifices. There wouldn’t have been a problem if he had simply expressed it.

Instead, it’s a chaotic and awkward situation that makes them seem both cunning and defeated, skillful yet inept – like a second-rate group trying and failing to pull something off.

It’s hard not to feel for Meghan and Harry sometimes. No matter what they do, it seems like they always face criticism.

It was just a party, really. Why can’t they go to a fancy event – just once – without causing a huge diplomatic problem?

These dedicated people travel the world, tirelessly working on mental health, digital well-being, and humanitarian aid. After all their hard work creating impactful programs, shouldn’t they be allowed to relax and have some fun sometimes?

Can’t a duke and a duchess have a boogie without being accused of neglect of duty?

It doesn’t appear that way, but the situation is uncomfortable and difficult to accept. We tell you one thing, but act another way. Appearances are everything.

It’s quite hypocritical, really. Ultimately, the Duke and Duchess are driven by a desperate need for recognition and to be seen as significant people.

If they truly cared, they would have supported William and Kate by participating in Remembrance Day ceremonies and fulfilling their patriotic obligations.

Their association with the Kardashians is undeniable, and no amount of trying to hide it will change that.

It’s not surprising the Sussexes have gone through so many public relations teams. It’s hard to imagine anyone being able to improve their public image, given how they’re perceived.

Oh, to be Chanel’s golden girl Tilda!

Wouldn’t you just love to be a Chanel global ambassador? Oh yes, please.

To begin with, we received many complimentary dresses and handbags from one of the world’s leading fashion brands.

It’s easy to see why Chanel’s ambassadors – Dua Lipa, A$AP Rocky, Margaret Qualley, and Tilda Swinton – looked so happy while sitting front row at the brand’s Paris fashion show this week.

Everyone looked fantastic in their Chanel outfits, but Tilda especially stood out. Her golden tweed suit and wild hair gave her the air of a stylish headmistress from the St. Trinian’s school. Excellent work, ladies!

Corrie’s schoolgirl shame

Helen Flanagan, who played Rosie on Coronation Street, has spoken out about a storyline where her character was shown wearing very little clothing. It raises the question: was this a reasonable thing for the show to do?

Indeed, Flanagan was just 16 years old when she was pressured into performing suggestive scenes portraying a schoolgirl who had affairs with both a teacher and a factory owner.

The way Rosie was portrayed was highly sexualized, something that would be considered unacceptable now. She was consistently shown as a manipulative object of desire for much older men. Even seemingly minor characters, like Vic Reeves’s Colin, would make inappropriate advances, like leering at her when she simply bent down to pick something up in The Kabin. It was truly shocking.

Alison King, the actress who plays Carla Connor on the show, was one of the few people who publicly defended Flanagan, describing the overly sexualized scenes as ‘disgusting’.

Good for her. At least someone on the cobbles showed some sense.

King Charles recently expressed a desire to address environmental issues during his lifetime. However, some have pointed out that focusing on local concerns, like those in Cornwall, might be a more immediate priority.

Honestly, it just broke my heart seeing the devastation from Storm Goretti, especially in his old Duchy of Cornwall! I kept wishing and wishing that His Majesty would do something, anything, to help the people and places he clearly cares so much about. It felt like a real oversight, you know? I just wanted him to step in and make things better for them.

As a longtime observer of the Royal Family and someone deeply connected to rural communities, I’ve noticed something a bit disheartening. Despite both Prince Charles and Prince William having significant ties to the affected county, neither has publicly acknowledged the hardship the area is facing, or offered any support. It’s a silence that feels particularly noticeable given their history with the region.

It’s strange and increasingly concerning that neither the king nor the future king has offered any support.

Sorry, Carol, no one gets a job for life

There’s speculation about whether Carol Kirkwood is leaving BBC weather because of her age, with some suggesting she’s being replaced by a younger presenter. Others believe she may simply be retiring.

Carol has worked at the BBC for over 25 years, becoming a familiar and reassuring face for viewers through good times and bad. While there’s been talk about her emotional exit at age 63, it’s important to remember that no job is permanent.

We all face job losses eventually, and it’s happening to Carol now. While it’s sad to see her go, she’s acting like a queen going off to a grand adventure. Let’s be realistic – she’s a weather forecaster, not someone irreplaceable.

This week, BBC weather presenter Lizzie Rizzini, 49, caused a stir online when she briefly showed her stockings during the Six O’Clock News. The incident sparked a mixed reaction, with many fathers reportedly pleased and mothers responding differently. One online commenter joked, ‘She should have been wearing cycling shorts or thermals, not stockings!’

Sydney’s bras might lack support…

Actress Sydney Sweeney advertised her lingerie line, Syrn (pronounced ‘siren’), in a striking way: she covered parts of the famous Hollywood sign with her bras.

Was that a good decision? It likely upset a lot of Americans, who don’t appreciate seeing their important cultural and historical sites treated with such disrespect.

Sydney, known for her ample bust and willingness to capitalize on it, previously sold bathwater to fans. Now she’s launching a bra line with an incredibly wide range of sizes – from very small to very large.

It’s uncertain if this will be successful. Sydney may have lost the support of a significant portion of her American female customers by publicly identifying as a Republican.

Her standing took another hit last year when Donald Trump unexpectedly praised her online. He posted, ‘She has the HOTTEST ad out there. Go get ’em, Sydney,’ in a rare break from his usual activities. This public support further harmed her reputation.

Could things get any worse? Yes, Jeff Bezos is one of her investors.

Sydney could potentially face criminal charges for trespassing due to the stunt near the Hollywood sign, which is the only positive aspect of this whole situation.
