Ted Lasso star Anthony Head’s partner dies aged 61: Animal rights activist Sarah Fisher passes away ‘with very little warning’ as her daughters pay tribute

Ted Lasso star Anthony Head’s partner Sarah Fisher has died at the age of 61.

Sarah, an animal rights advocate, lived with the 71-year-old actor known for his roles in ‘Little Britain’ and ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ near the city of Bath.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of their mother. Her daughters, Emily and Daisy – both wonderful actresses themselves – shared the news and described her as an extraordinary, kind, and truly talented woman. It’s such a loss, and my heart goes out to the whole family.

We were all deeply shocked by her sudden passing. It was completely unexpected, and no words can truly capture everything she meant to us or the profound loss we feel.

We’re incredibly proud of the positive difference she’s made in so many lives and the wonderful legacy she’ll be remembered for.

‘We only wish she’d had more time to share her knowledge and brilliance with us, and the world.

‘Our grief knows no bounds, nor did the reaches of her incredibly unique and irreplaceable spirit.’

They did not reveal any further details about her death. 

Sarah and Anthony’s daughters are both actresses. 

Emily, age 37, first became well-known for her role as Carli D’Amato on the E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners. She went on to play Rebecca White in the ITV soap Emmerdale and Colette Andrews in the BBC drama The Syndicate.

Daisy, age 34, has appeared in several television dramas, including roles as Grace in the American series Guilt, Amy Stevenson in the BBC One drama The Syndicate, and Kate Bottomley in the third season of Hulu’s Harlots.

She’s also known for her roles as Genya Safin in the Netflix series Shadow and Bone and as Sofina in the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Sarah had a long-standing relationship with Battersea and Cats Home in London, and the organization publicly acknowledged her contributions on Thursday.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend and Ambassador Sarah Fisher. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her partner, Anthony, her daughters, and all who knew and loved her.

Sarah and her partner, Anthony Head, were incredible supporters of our charity. Sarah used her knowledge of dog behavior to help train our team and volunteers, and together they fostered dogs and made a significant impact on animal welfare.

‘She will be dearly missed by all of us at Battersea.’ 

Anthony first became well-known in the UK during the 1980s for appearing in the popular Nescafé Gold Blend TV commercials. These ads helped launch his career, leading to significant roles in various television shows. He is mainly a musical theatre performer.

Sarah was also patron of Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary in Somerset for many years.

Pauline Leeson, the organization’s founder, stated that Sarah dedicated her life to helping animals, always speaking up for those who couldn’t speak for themselves.

Her dedication to animals was immense, and she will be deeply missed by all creatures great and small. She worked tirelessly to help them adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Everyone at Holly Hedge is deeply saddened by Sarah’s passing. She will be remembered for the positive impact she had and the good she brought to so many lives.

I was so saddened to hear about Sarah’s passing. The team at Forever Hounds Trust, a wonderful organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for greyhounds and lurchers, spoke so fondly of her. They’ll definitely feel her loss, as she was clearly a friend to the hounds and to everyone there.

Sarah was a dedicated dog trainer who made a huge difference in the lives of many dogs – and even helped some of ours over the years.

She generously shared her time and expertise, helping not only the dogs we care for, but also training our volunteers.

In 2016, she kindly let us celebrate our 20th anniversary at Tilley Farm, and we really appreciated her warm welcome and support.
