Jennifer Lopez playfully joked about her short-lived marriage to Ben Affleck during the successful premiere of her new Las Vegas residency show, ‘Up All Night’.
The 56-year-old singer and actress hinted at the difficulties in her marriage, though she didn’t mention her husband – a 53-year-old actor and filmmaker she recently spent the holidays with – directly.
Between songs, while still catching her breath, Jennifer Lopez paused to thank the fans who had supported her almost ten years ago when she launched her first Las Vegas residency, Jennifer Lopez: All I Have, which lasted from January 2016 to September 2018.
“It felt like it happened in an instant, didn’t it?” Jennifer Lopez remarked to the audience, snapping her fingers as fans cheered, according to a video taken by a concertgoer at her show on Tuesday, December 30th. She was reflecting on the ten-year anniversary of that particular opening night.
She playfully mentioned she’d only been married twice at that point, a comment referencing her later marriage to Affleck in 2022.
After a burst of uproarious laughter from the audience, J.Lo corrected herself.
‘That’s not true, it was only once,’ she said, before adding, ‘It felt like twice.’
Then Lopez burst into a smile and clarified, ‘I’m just kidding!
She declared everything was okay with a flourish, kicking her leg as her drummer punctuated the moment with a strong beat. ‘It’s all good,’ she added.

She announced, beaming with a wide grin, ‘We’re in a good place now!’ The audience responded with enthusiastic cheers and applause.

Lopez playfully downplayed her marital history, but Ben Affleck was actually her fourth husband.

The singer changed into a revealing, sparkly green outfit with cut-outs. She was carried onto the stage and danced with a shirtless backup dancer.

Over the Christmas holiday, Jennifer faced online criticism after fans noticed a possible editing error in a photo she shared on X (formerly Twitter).
