Kathy Griffin revealed she found love with a 23-year-old after her divorce from Randy Bick.

The 65-year-old comedian recently revealed she unexpectedly fell in love with a man much younger than herself – 42 years younger, in fact – not long after her second divorce.

She shared that she felt a stronger connection with her younger partner than she did with men her own age.

Okay, so I know it sounds crazy, but I totally fell for this guy, he’s 23. And honestly? It was such a relief. Guys my age… well, they come with all this baggage, you know? All these ingrained ideas about how things should be. But he didn’t have any of that! It was like a breath of fresh air, he just didn’t have those usual, awful assumptions. I wrote all about it because it was just… amazing.

This comes shortly after she revealed she’s on four different dating apps in a bid to find love. 

As a lifestyle expert, I’m following the news about Griffin and Bick’s split. It’s sad to report they filed for divorce in December 2023 – just a few days before they would have celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. It’s always tough when relationships end, especially so close to a milestone.

She cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their split. 

Her first marriage was to actor Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006. 

After my divorce from Bick, I started seeing someone much younger – he was in his twenties. Honestly, what really drew me in was how he saw me. It was incredibly validating and something I hadn’t experienced in a long time. He just got me, in a way that felt completely new.

She explained that she felt at ease and happy when she was with him, but quickly admitted that describing it felt cheesy and silly.

She shared that it felt wonderful to experience strong feelings again in her sixties, and she was grateful to have met someone she both enjoyed and admired.

She also wrote that she ‘thought he was smart’ and ‘could roll in different worlds.’ 

‘It sounds cliché, and maybe he was an old soul, but i don’t know, we just clicked,’ she continued.

She eventually confessed that even while they were together, she suspected the relationship wouldn’t succeed, as she felt she had too many personal issues to overcome.

I truly loved him; he deeply affected me,” she said, remembering that she eventually realized she needed to let him go.

She continued, explaining that they tried it out for a while, but eventually decided to stop.

He made me feel confident, attractive, and like I could be myself – truly witty and intelligent. It felt like the foundation for something genuinely long-term.

Griffin also talked about being labeled a ‘cougar,’ and said she’s okay with the rumors.

‘I haven’t been with a guy my age since I was in my 30s,’ she wrote in her essay.

After that, I’ve mostly been approached by men younger than me. People often call me a cougar, but I don’t really mind it.

She explained that, for her, being a ‘cougar’ simply means having the freedom to date whomever you choose, regardless of societal expectations about age differences.

She added, sounding frustrated, ‘It’s just… they were the ones who messaged me! I said I was looking for someone around my age – 64 – but every single guy I met was at least twenty years younger. I don’t want to waste this… well, I feel good, and I want to enjoy it!’

In her essay, she discussed her consistent and healthy sex drive, explaining she carries condoms with her while dating, just in case the situation arises.

‘And at my age, there’s not a lot of reasons to say no,’ she added. 

Griffin and her second husband were married for three years before she filed for divorce. 

She asked the court to uphold their prenuptial agreement, preventing either her or her spouse from receiving alimony.

Sources previously told the Daily Mail that Randy became a ‘homebody’ and lost his lust for life. 

According to reports, Griffin believed that getting a divorce was the only path to rediscovering her own identity after she and her partner drifted apart.

Despite being heartbroken over her breakup, Kathy is still in love with her ex, but she’s determined to enjoy life, according to a source.

She’s someone who loves to enjoy life and is looking for a partner to share adventures with – someone who wants the same things out of life, like traveling and experiencing new things together.

Kathy is a young-at-heart woman in her sixties who’s eager to embrace life with energy and positivity, and Randy confirmed she feels that way.
