Coleen Rooney hits the beach in Barbados but it’s her eldest son Kai, 16, who steals the show as he races Wayne’s Man United pal

Coleen Rooney and her family celebrated New Year’s Eve by trading the chilly weather at home for a sunny beach vacation in Barbados.

The WAG, 39, showed off her figure in a leopard print bikini and beige ruched cover up.

Coleen usually gets the most attention, but this time at the beach, her 16-year-old son Kai was the star thanks to his cool sunglasses.

The young footballer, currently playing for Manchester United’s youth team, proved he’s fast by racing Jonny Evans, a former teammate of his dad, Wayne.

The two were running full speed down the beach in their swimsuits, clearly pushing themselves to the limit, as shown by their strained expressions.

Wayne and Coleen were accompanied by their sons Klay, age 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, along with Coleen’s brother and her parents, Colette and Tony.

Retired players and some of Wayne’s old teammates—including Jonny, Michael Carrick, and Darren Gibson—also participated.

Kai was spotted talking with friends while completing his beach outfit with sunglasses and a silver chain.

Wayne was spotted having fun with friends, relaxing with a drink while wearing a simple white T-shirt, a grey baseball cap, and sunglasses.

As a huge United fan, I was absolutely thrilled to see Kai score! It was amazing watching him back on the pitch after such a tough injury – months out, needing crutches, and even having a protective boot on his foot. To see him score on his comeback was just incredible!

He posted a picture on Instagram in September showing his difficult situation, and jokingly wrote, ‘Life can’t get worse’.

He quickly followed up with a photo of himself training with United, sporting his boots, and used hourglass emojis to signal he’s almost back to full strength.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work out as planned, and he wasn’t able to play again until mid-December.

At just 15 years old, he unexpectedly made it onto the club’s Under-19 team earlier this season, but his development was unfortunately stopped.

Just a few weeks after that, he scored his first goal for the Under-18 team, powerfully volleying the ball into the top corner of the net during a game against Middlesbrough.

Kai entered United’s youth program in 2020 when he was 11 years old and has consistently improved as he’s progressed through the different age groups.

Earlier this month, Coleen looked glowing as she took her family to LaplandUK for a wonderfully festive day.

Coleen shared sweet photos from a fun day out with her family. She looked happy as they posed for pictures inside a warm and inviting wooden cabin.

She was accompanied by her mother, Colette, and her sisters-in-law, Carley Smith and Amy Wilkinson, along with their kids.

Coleen shared a post captioning it: ‘We love visiting this place every year – it’s truly magical, and now it’s so close to home! @laplanduk’

‘Thank you for an amazing day.’

Reports surfaced that Coleen and Wayne Rooney spent a significant amount of money – tens of thousands of pounds – on Christmas lights for their £20 million home in Cheshire.

The couple, including the former Manchester United player who is now 40, have lived in the mansion for three and a half years. The other half of the couple is known for appearing on the reality show, ‘I’m A Celebrity’.

This large house is in the sought-after Golden Triangle, a prestigious area known for its expensive properties and famous residents, including footballers, TV stars, and musicians.

The estate is now fully decorated for Christmas, and it looks like the owners hired professionals to put up beautiful, festive lights.

Photos of the house reveal Christmas lights strung along the roof and porch, with wreaths, trees, and hedges also decorated for the holidays.

People say the lights are incredibly bright – you can even see them from planes landing at Manchester Airport.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s house! It’s called High Lake Manor, and it’s absolutely insane. Seriously, they have everything. Like, a full snooker room, a proper home cinema for movie nights, and get this – an underground spa! And it doesn’t stop there! They have a wine cellar, of course, but then there’s a stable block big enough for FOURTEEN horses! Fourteen! As if that wasn’t enough, they even have their own full-sized football pitch in the garden! I’m officially jealous. It’s a dream house, honestly.

Representatives for the Rooneys were approached for comment.
