Zara McDermott reveals her dad is ‘in a pretty bad way’ as he is left ‘traumatised’ after having major surgery in health update to fans

I was so saddened to hear that Zara McDermott’s father is really struggling right now. She shared that he’s been deeply traumatized after a major surgery, and it sounds like he’s in a pretty bad state. It’s just heartbreaking to think about what they’re going through as a family.

The 29-year-old TV presenter, who previously appeared on Love Island, shared concerning news about Alan, 63, in her Christmas video blog.

Zara shared in a video posted before the holiday that he recently had knee replacement surgery and is now recovering at home. He’s been getting better slowly but surely.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share what I’m up to tonight! I’m heading over to my parents’ place – my dad recently had knee replacement surgery, and I haven’t been able to visit him since. I’m really looking forward to seeing him and checking in on his recovery. Family is so important, right?

I was planning to visit him, but my mom suggested we have a small, early Christmas celebration instead.

Zara explained that she’ll be home for a few days over Christmas, but not on Christmas Day itself.

‘This is the last time I’m going to see my mom and dad before Christmas.

My dad has been struggling a lot since his knee replacement. It’s been a difficult and upsetting experience for him, and he’s had multiple surgeries over the past year.

He’s been feeling pretty sad lately, so I’m hoping some gifts and spending time with family today will make him feel better.

As someone who’s been through knee replacement surgery, I’ve learned it’s a real marathon, not a sprint! The NHS says you can expect noticeable healing within six months, but honestly, getting completely back to normal can take up to two years. It’s a long process, but worth it in the end.

Zara is very close to her father and recently took him to Wimbledon for a special day together.

Zara recently turned 29 and called it the ‘best birthday ever’ thanks to a surprise getaway planned by her boyfriend, Louis Tomlinson.

They were also joined for the lowkey trip with his sister Lottie and her friends. 

I was so excited to see Zara celebrating! She looked really comfortable and cute in a black long-sleeved shirt and sweatpants, and she was holding the most beautiful birthday cake – it was white, had two layers, and was decorated with bright red ribbons. It was a perfect, relaxed look for her special day.

Zara looked beautiful in a stylish off-the-shoulder sweater, carrying a large bouquet of flowers. She then bundled up in a winter coat and hat for a walk in the countryside.

She posted a photo of Louis Tomlinson, a member of One Direction, silhouetted against a beautiful sunset over a lake. Then, she took a smiling self-portrait with the same lovely view.

Zara posted about her birthday only a few hours after her ex-boyfriend, Sam Thompson, announced he was dating influencer Talitha Balinska.

The filmmaker and Louis began dating in March, and their relationship has grown stronger since they became official in August.
