Olivia Attwood gave her adopted dogs a special Christmas experience at London’s Corinthia Hotel, sharing a heartwarming video on Instagram.

The Love Island contestant posted about this shortly after Kim and Khloe Kardashian announced they’d given their kids puppies from luxury breeders.

Kim Kardashian, 45, recently added four dogs to her family, but the decision has sparked criticism online, with many people questioning whether a live animal was an appropriate gift for her children.

Khloe, her sister and a reality TV star, also welcomed a new Labrador puppy into her family over the holidays. She got the puppy from a breeder.

Olivia recently revealed the incredible transformation in the lives of her two adopted dogs. They’ve gone from being strays on the streets of Romania to living a pampered life at a luxury hotel in London.

Olivia filmed her husband, Bradley Dack, walking their dogs – Stitch, a Rottweiler, and Lola, a Carpathian/German Shepherd mix they adopted in 2021 – as they entered the hotel on their leashes.

After her outing, the reality star unwound on a lavish bed with her dogs, then took them for a stroll through the city streets.

She shared a heartwarming video showing a dog’s incredible journey: from being found on the streets in Romania and rescued from a puppy farm in Wales, to now enjoying a happy life. She encouraged viewers to adopt, not shop, with the hashtag #adoptdontstop.

Olivia captioned the post: ‘My little munchkins. Landed on their [paw emoji] these two x’.

Prices at the Corinthia London hotel change depending on the time of year, the type of room you choose, and when you stay. While rates can start around £447 per night, most guests pay an average of about £781 per night.

Okay, so I’ve been researching, obviously, and a deluxe room? We’re talking around £465 a night, but it can easily climb over £600! But the suites… oh, the suites! They start at around £592, which is already amazing, but if you want one of the really big penthouses? Forget about it – they can be over £3,500 a night! I’m saving up, obviously. Olivia isn’t alone in encouraging dog adoption this holiday season. Vicky Pattison also spoke out, calling Kim and Khloe ‘irresponsible’ for giving their kids ‘designer dogs’ as Christmas presents.

Vicky criticized the Kardashian sisters for highlighting their new pets on Instagram—where they have a combined 654 million followers—while seemingly overlooking the issue of animals in need.

Olivia, known for her appearances on Strictly, is a passionate supporter of dog adoption. She welcomed two Labradors, Milo and Max, into her family in 2021 and 2022, and often encourages others to consider rescuing dogs.

Vicky emphasized that dogs should be a lifelong commitment, not impulsive gifts. She encouraged people to think carefully before adopting, or to support animal shelters, which are always in need of help.

The reality TV personality followed up with another post on Instagram, clarifying that not every dog needing rescue has problems with its behavior or past experiences.

Ingrid Newkirk, the founder of PETA, issued a statement decrying Kim’s present and standing by those who ‘rightly slammed’ the star.

 

Newkirk also called out Khloe for failing to adopt a dog from a local shelter.

PETA’s Ingrid Newkirk criticized Kim Kardashian for promoting a plush toy instead of adopting a shelter dog, stating it’s disappointing given the negative attention she’s receiving for it, according to the Daily Mail.

It’s deeply insensitive to ignore the problem of animals in need, and we’re asking Kim and Khloe Kardashian – who have previously obtained pets instead of adopting – to contact PETA or a local animal shelter if they ever decide to get another animal. We also hope they’ll consider making up for it by having their children volunteer at a shelter, sponsoring a local adoption event, or funding a spay/neuter day to help reduce the number of homeless puppies.

Kim received a lot of criticism online after revealing she’d given each of her children a puppy for Christmas.

She shared a heartwarming photo of all four dogs snuggled together on the couch, captioning it, ‘Each child now has a puppy!’

Oh my gosh, Kim is a mom to four amazing kids! There’s North, who’s practically a teenager at 12, and sweet little Chicago, who’s seven. And the boys! Saint is ten and growing up so fast, and then there’s adorable Psalm, who’s six. They’re all from her and Kanye, even though they’re not together anymore, and honestly, they’re just the cutest family ever!

Some fans took to Reddit to criticize her decision.

‘Puppies are not Christmas gifts for kids,’ one Reddit user wrote.

Someone else agreed, saying that animals shouldn’t be given as gifts unless the recipient has specifically asked for one and is prepared to care for it properly. They felt giving pets as surprises was a terrible idea.

Someone commented that if every child gets their own puppy, it loses its meaning. They questioned how the children will learn to share affection for a single pet if they each have their own, treating it more like a virtual game than a living animal.

It really frustrates me to see people treat pets like accessories. They seem to get them just because they’re adorable and their kids ask for them, without understanding the long-term commitment involved. Then, once the puppy grows out of the ‘cute’ phase, they just lose interest – it’s heartbreaking and honestly, really irresponsible.

Someone else seconded, ‘This is wrong on every level in every conceivable way.’

The four new additions to the family aren’t the only Pomeranians that Kim owns.

She also has dogs Sushi and Sake, whom she adopted with her sister Kourtney Kardashian in mid-2017.

In 2022, she came under fire after she appeared to show the dogs living in her garage.

North, who has a TikTok account with her mom, shared a video of their pets wearing miniature coats and strolling around the garage.

The dogs appeared to be in a large pen with pee pads inside.

The video highlighted the puppies’ Christmas decorations, featuring a small Christmas tree and stockings.

The post received strong criticism, with many fans expressing concern that the SKIMS founder’s dogs didn’t have suitable living conditions.

Kim wasn’t the only one getting a new pet for Christmas – Khloe also adopted a Labrador puppy named Peppermint.

‘I am going to cry she’s the best in the world,’ she gushed.

She also tagged Big Creek Labradors, a Labrador retriever breeder based in Indiana.

Khloe’s daughters, seven-year-old True and three-year-old Tatum, really wanted a puppy for Christmas, and getting one means a lot to them beyond just having a new pet.

Oh my gosh, Khloé had the sweetest lab, Gabbana! I was devastated when I found out she passed away back in 2018. She was fourteen years old – such a good, long life, but still, it broke my heart. Gabbana was seriously the cutest, and I miss seeing her pictures everywhere!
