Angie Kent shared a heartfelt New Year’s message with her followers, revealing she feels grateful after going through IVF treatment.
The 35-year-old star of Gogglebox Australia has previously talked openly about being on the Channel Nine show, Big Miracles.
As someone who’s followed a lot of different life paths, I’m always inspired by women embracing their journeys. I recently learned that a former Bachelorette is openly sharing her experience as a single mom, which I think is fantastic. She’s also shared something really personal – she has 14 embryos successfully frozen, offering hope for her future family. It’s brave of her to be so open about both the joys and challenges of motherhood, and planning for the future!
She shared a new video detailing her IVF journey, explaining she’d been saving it for a while and finally felt ready to post it. ‘I’ve had this in my saved reels for a while now. Never knowing the right time to start sharing again,’ she wrote.
‘I wanted to share this before the year ends, because next year brings new chapters.
I’m sharing my experience of becoming a single mother by choice, using IVF. I’ll be documenting the process openly, with sensitivity, and at my own pace.

‘Questions welcome. Your stories always welcome too. More to come.’
Angie openly shared that going through IVF was incredibly challenging. She explained this was especially difficult given her history of health problems, including interstitial cystitis, PCOS, endometriosis, and adenomyosis.
Let me tell you, having a baby is a life-changing experience, period. But deciding to become a mom on your own? That takes it to another level – it’s incredibly empowering, but also comes with a unique set of challenges and a whole lot of heart.
I was fortunate to have 14 embryos develop, which is a lot, especially given my ongoing health challenges.
Currently, my embryos are being preserved, and I’m scheduled for a final surgery in February to prepare my body. After I recover, I’ll be able to have my first embryo transferred.
Angie received a flood of messages in support of her decision to become a ‘solo’ mum.
One follower enthusiastically shared, ‘My cousin is a wonderful mother, and you don’t need anything more than support from family and close friends!’ Another commented, ‘You’re amazing, and any child would be lucky to have a mom like you.’
One person shared, ‘This is the best decision I ever made! My sweet baby boy is one year old now, and I still can’t believe I get to be his parent.’

This follows Angie’s recent announcement that she’s embraced her true identity after experiencing her first same-sex relationship.
In an interview with Stellar Magazine in September 2024, she revealed she hadn’t been in a relationship with a man for three years.
I used to constantly criticize myself, wondering if I needed more help from a therapist or if I was simply unlovable. I connect with people on a deep, emotional level – it’s about who they are inside, not their appearance or how they see themselves.
She explained that when she entered her first relationship with someone of the same sex, she finally felt like something was missing in her life had been found.
‘It doesn’t really frighten me being alone. I don’t think it’s my goal in life to find my person.’
Angie has shared that she’s become more comfortable with her sexuality, identifying as fluid, after being on The Bachelorette in 2019.
‘Feeling like I had to be a Barbie doll [on that show] didn’t sit well with me’, she said.
She reflected on her past self, wondering about the little girl who strived for perfection – especially considering nobody is perfect, she noted.
Angie previously revealed that she is pansexual.
The TV star told The Herald Sun that she used to only date men because she felt pressure to conform to societal expectations.
Pansexuality refers to an attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity.
Angie said she’s not concerned with someone’s gender, explaining that connection is what truly matters to her. She added that gender has never been a significant factor for her in relationships.
In 2019, Angie chose Carlin Sterritt, a personal trainer and actor, as the winner on The Bachelorette, but they broke up after only a few months together.
