Monday night’s party for the new Netflix reality show, Members Only: Palm Beach, turned dramatic when a cast member was removed after an incident reportedly involving alcohol and disruptive behavior, according to the Daily Mail.
According to several reports, Gale Brophy, a Florida businesswoman connected to the Trump family, had to leave an event after accidentally drinking from someone else’s champagne glass.
Taja Abitbol, host of the Members Club Only: Palm Beach party, told the Daily Mail that the check-in attendant – who was working near the champagne – noticed something and brought it to her attention.
According to sources, the founder of Estates by Brophy was spotted with an unfinished drink, and her behavior led some to believe she may have been impaired.
However, when we reached out to Brophy on Tuesday, she strongly denied being intoxicated. She stated she hadn’t consumed any alcohol before the party and didn’t have any alcoholic drinks while she was there.
She said she grabbed a glass from a table near the entrance, assuming it was one of the champagne glasses offered to guests.
Brophy explained that she’s proud of the reputation she’s built through hard work and dedication to philanthropy in Palm Beach, and doesn’t want that tarnished.

A Palm Beach socialite attended a party celebrating a new reality show, along with around 300 other guests, including publicist Johnny Donovan, from J Donovan Productions, and Adam Weiss, founder of Impact Wealth Magazine.
I was absolutely blown away by the event hosted by Abitbol – she’s an entrepreneur and married to David Cone, the former Yankees player. It was held at this incredible $40 million estate within the Bears Club, which is a really exclusive, gated community. You wouldn’t believe who lives there – even Michael Jordan has a home there! It was quite the scene.
Netflix was not involved and this was not the streaming service’s official premiere.
Brophy made a striking entrance in a glamorous green dress, but reports suggest she caused a disturbance by interrupting the photographers on the red carpet. She has stated that these claims are false.
According to a source, Gale arrived seeming upset and left the same way. The source also claimed Gale was openly rude to the host, Taja.
Brophy told the Daily Mail that Abitbol was the one who reacted negatively, claiming, ‘She noticed all the cameras focused on me, saw me talking to reporters, and then got very upset.’
Abitbol explained to the Daily Mail that Gale arrived and immediately began acting disruptively, which worried security about the safety of other guests and the general environment.
She acted in a confrontational way, threatened me, behaved inappropriately towards other guests, and seemed to be under the influence of alcohol.

The two costars – who are ‘not friends’ – had been having issues leading up to the ritzy gathering.
During an episode of “Members Only: Palm Beach,” Brophy revealed she used to be very close friends with Ivana Trump, who has since passed away. She also stated that she once tried to buy Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property before he ultimately purchased it.
However, Abitbol questioned Brophy’s connections to the Trumps in an interview with Newsweek.
Brophy explained to the Daily Mail that she was furious after discovering a newspaper article containing false claims. She confronted [Abitbol], warning him that if he was involved, her lawyers would be in touch.
She emphasized that she and the president are very close friends, explaining they’ve known each other since childhood. She also mentioned her son went to school with Marla Maples’ children.
According to a source familiar with the situation, the decision to ask Brophy to leave the event wasn’t motivated by anything personal.
A Daily Mail exclusive video shows security guards in suits leading Brophy away from the property.
The video didn’t show a significant physical fight, but Brophy told us one of the bodyguards—wearing a black suit—pushed him, and he responded by telling the bodyguard to “Get your hands off of me now.”

She dismissed her disagreement with Abitbol as typical high school drama, explaining it was simply jealousy. She repeated, ‘It was just pure jealousy.’
Okay, so when I asked Abitbol about everything, he explained it like this: He totally feels it’s his job – as the host, you know? – to make sure everyone who comes feels safe, comfortable, and like they’re being treated well. And, of course, he needs to protect the place itself. It’s just… he really takes that responsibility seriously, and it’s honestly so reassuring to hear!
‘The decision was necessary and appropriate under the circumstances.’
Okay, seriously, I’m completely obsessed with ‘Members Only: Palm Beach’ and you HAVE to watch it! Season 1 is out on Netflix right now, and it’s amazing. Plus, Hilary Musser, Rosalyn Yellin, Ro-mina Ustayev, and DJ Maria Cozamanisis are all in it – they’re incredible, I can’t get enough!
