Cardi B is defending herself after facing several days of criticism regarding her connection with NFL player Stefon Diggs. She’s stated she won’t tolerate the ongoing negative comments any longer.
The rapper, 33, responded to criticism about her relationships in a direct video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on December 29th. Fans had been leaving judgmental comments about her personal life.
Cardi B started by asking everyone to relax. She pointed out that people had been criticizing her for several days and that the criticism had become unnecessarily harsh. She asked them to ease up, saying they were being too mean.
The Grammy-winning artist became more and more frustrated as she spoke, firmly stating she won’t apologize for continuing to live her life as she chooses.
She expressed feeling powerless to undo the past, stating, ‘I can’t change anything, and I can’t go back.’ She continued, emphasizing she’d already had a child and questioning what others expected of her – whether they wanted her to undo becoming a mother or to switch partners. She felt frustrated and misunderstood, asking what exactly people wanted her to do.
Cardi explained the criticism is particularly difficult right now because she’s busy getting ready for her Little Miss Drama Tour, which starts next year.

She confessed she’s already feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work starting in January. She’s worried about being away from her children and missing out on personal time and being at home, as she’ll be rehearsing for long hours – ten to twelve a day – in preparation for her tour.
She explained that dealing with the challenges of making the project has already been stressful, and she asked her fans – who she considers her biggest supporters – to offer understanding rather than criticism.
She invited everyone to join her tour and have a good time, but also expressed feeling overwhelmed. ‘Please support me as I’m supporting you,’ she said, ‘but also give me some space. Sometimes you all really frighten me.’
Cardi and Stefon Diggs, 32, have been dating since October 2024 and recently welcomed their first child, a son, in November.
The rapper is a mom to three young children: 7-year-old Kulture, 4-year-old Wave, and 15-month-old Blossom. She shares them with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Offset.
Diggs is also father to an eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Despite the criticism, Cardi has continued to publicly support Diggs.

She was seen supporting him at the game over the weekend, cheering him on from the stands while he played for the New England Patriots against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
Stefon Diggs caught his 80th pass of the season during the game, which earned him a $500,000 bonus as part of his contract.
Off the field, Cardi has framed this period as a major turning point in her life.
She shared on Instagram that life is full of changes, and recently she’s entered a new phase after welcoming her baby. While new beginnings can be challenging, she says it’s been incredibly rewarding.
Having a new baby has completely changed my life, and honestly, it’s pushed me to want to be a better person. It feels like this next stage is all about personal growth – it’s just me challenging myself to be the best I can be!
The mother of four explained she’s been getting in shape and focusing mentally for her upcoming tour. She’s determined to give a truly unforgettable performance, and nothing will get in her way.

Cardi B revealed she’s expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, during an interview on CBS Mornings with Gayle King in September.
I just love how open she is about her relationship! She recently shared that she and her partner really lift each other up. She said he makes her feel incredibly secure, and that’s given her so much confidence and strength. It’s so heartwarming to see!
The relationship began shortly after Cardi filed for divorce from Offset in August 2024.
During a later appearance on The Breakfast Club, she admitted the split has been far from easy.
She said things are definitely not calm or quiet. She couldn’t discuss the details because of ongoing legal proceedings, but emphasized it’s a very difficult situation.
Still, Cardi appears focused on the future and on protecting her peace.
She recently shared on Instagram that she’s grown and healed, and is happy with the person she is now. She says that’s what her next chapter in life will be about.
