With more and more people choosing cozy nights in over expensive outings – especially when it’s cold outside – here’s a guide to the best TV entertainment to help you celebrate the end of 2025, all from the comfort of your sofa!

Okay, so I was checking out what’s on TV for New Year’s Eve, and I’ve rounded up the best stuff to watch as we count down to midnight. Basically, I’ve got the highlights for anyone who wants to ring in the New Year with some good TV!

Their conflicting ideas lead the Jessop family on a chaotic holiday adventure.

The show’s cast includes Alison Steadman, known from Gavin & Stacey, Freya Parks (This Town), Jude Morgan-Collie (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder), Tori Allen-Martin (Unforgotten), Mica Ricketts (Best Interests), Ed Kear (The Batman), and Jon Furlong (The Last Kingdom).

Tom Basden, the creator of the show, shared his excitement about bringing Here We Go back to the BBC for a special New Year’s episode and starting work on a fourth series. He described the people involved as being like a second family to him.

Ronan Keating and Friends: a New Year’s Eve Party

Want to ring in the New Year with a fantastic party? Ronan Keating is hosting a special event, Ronan Keating and Friends: A New Year’s Eve Party, filled with great music and surprises. He’ll be performing his biggest hits alongside a lineup of talented guests.

What’s in store? Before Boyzone hits the road next year, Ronan will be joined on stage by bandmates Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch for a memorable performance.
