Britney Spears appeared on Instagram on Sunday to issue a biting message to her estranged family.
Shortly after Christmas, the 44-year-old singer posted a picture of their decorated tree with a playfully sarcastic caption.
She wished her family a belated Merry Christmas, expressing gratitude for their consistent kindness and support. She emphasized they’ve never hurt, disrespected, or deeply traumatized her.
The mother, who spent Christmas with her 19-year-old son Jayden, shared a message saying she was very sorry she couldn’t be with her family this Christmas due to being busy, but promised to surprise them all very soon and that she’s looking forward to it.
She then sent a loving message to her seven-year-old niece, Ivey, saying, ‘Hello, beautiful Ivy… I wish I could hold you, my love.’

People reported that Britney Spears enjoyed spending Christmas with her son, Jayden, after recently rebuilding their relationship.
The insider added, ‘It’s been such a special holiday.’
According to TMZ, Britney’s twenty-year-old son, Sean, couldn’t travel for the holidays because of work. He spent the time with his aunt’s family and grandmother in Louisiana.
On Christmas Day Jamie-Lynn, 34, posted a carousel from her family’s Christmas celebration.
She was joined by her husband, Jamie Watson, her daughters Ivey and Maddie, who are both 17, and her mother, Lynne, who is 70, as well as other family including her nephew.
She captioned, ‘Merry CHRISTMAS,’ adding a row of festive seasonal emojis.
Britney’s relationship with her family has been strained for many years, especially after the end of her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021.
She had her sons while married to Kevin Federline, but their marriage only lasted three years, ending in 2007.
In January 2022, the Grammy-winning artist publicly criticized her sister following the success of her bestselling memoir, ‘Things I Should Have Said’.
The performer publicly criticized Jamie Lynn on Instagram, stating that the timing of her book release was incredibly unfortunate.
She repeated that, contrary to what her family said, they all knew about the abuse she experienced while under her previous conservatorship.
She continued, dripping with sarcasm, ‘Congratulations on becoming a bestseller… honestly, I expected nothing less. It’s incredibly bold of you to publish a book and then talk like that, especially when you’re clearly not telling the truth.’
While trying to regain control of her life and end her legal arrangement, Britney publicly claimed her father had mistreated her.
She previously told the court that her father and anyone else involved in her conservatorship and management who harmed her should face jail time.
