Story Highlights
- Knowing maps and game modes are very critical to win matches in Girls’ Frontline Fire Control.
- Some maps and game modes mat require you to extra careful depending on your position.
As a huge Girls’ Frontline fan, I’m so excited Darkwinter Software Co., Ltd. finally released Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control! It’s a really fun game that combines fast-paced shooting with building a strong team. I’ve put together this guide to help you master the maps, win matches, and snag that MVP title. Let’s dive in and get you winning!
Types of maps and modes in Girls’ Frontline Fire Control
Let’s talk about the game’s maps and modes – how they function together and why it’s important for your gameplay. The maps vary quite a bit; some are close-quarters and indoors, while others are large and open, favoring long-distance combat.
There are a total of six maps available. Also, you won’t be able to select maps or game modes when you start a match, so be sure to read this guide I’ve put together to get ready!

So, right now there are three ways to play: Team Deathmatch, Escort, and this MOBA-style mode called Defend the Guardian. We also have two different kinds of maps – Combat Simulation, which are huge and open, and Team Competition maps, which are small and kinda like hallways. Honestly, each map and mode really pushes you to play differently, and I’m gonna break down what I mean by that below.
Combat Simulation and Escort game mode tips
This section covers the game modes where teamwork is absolutely essential. There are only two of these, since Escort works similarly to Combat Simulation. Success depends on coordinating with your team – you’ll need everyone to work together to advance and complete the goals.
This map features several routes, useful items, and plenty of open areas for combat, making it ideal for long-range weapons like sniper rifles.

I often play as the sniper class in this mode because it deals a lot of damage from a distance. It’s important to stick with your team and watch for items that appear on the map, while also keeping track of where enemies and the Guardian are located. This is the only mode where you’ll fight computer-controlled enemies. You can also find special, powerful bosses, but you’ll need help from other players to get the necessary boosts to defeat them.
Team Competition game mode tips
This game mode is where you’ll find the most popular Girls Frontline Fire Control matches. The first team to reach 30 points wins.
This game mode has four maps, all designed for fast-paced, close-quarters combat. The maps feature tight corridors and emphasize direct confrontations, making close-range weapons and classes particularly effective. Health packs are scarce, so staying alive will be a challenge – play carefully!

I’m a big fan of using SMGs, and sometimes shotguns, to quickly clear out rooms. I definitely don’t like to hang back and camp – I’m always moving! Honestly, I’ve learned that trying to use area-of-effect attacks in this mode just gets you killed faster, so staying mobile is key.
Tips to focus when you don’t get your preferred map type
It’s annoying when you can’t play the map or game mode you prefer. Because Combat Simulation matches take a long time, and Team Competition matches are very short, not getting your choice can really spoil the fun.

- Always stick close to the team
- Pick a class that the team is lacking
- Your class determines if you are a support or dps in your team
- Don’t use close-range weapons on long-range maps
- Buy the best tactical loadout that you can when you get a moment
- Use your skills only when there are group of enemies
- Remember to look at the map to know where items and health pickups are
- Retreat when you are getting alone against a group of enemies.
- Rely on your aim more and not on others.
Final Thoughts
Everyone experiences both wins and losses, so don’t get discouraged if you lose a game. Keep your spirits up and focus on the next match – sometimes your opponent is simply playing exceptionally well. While the game might not be perfect, its unique appeal is what keeps it enjoyable and lasting.
I wish you all the best in your upcoming matches – may you win and enjoy yourselves! I’ll see you when we meet again in the game.
